Chapter 14:Jealousy + Hate= Madness
*^*One Month Past*^*
Julia & Matt hadn't come out yet about their relationship to her parents, but they had told Ashley & Christina. Christina in turn told JC as soon as she could so he could tell Lance. But even though Lance played it off like he was hoping the best for her & that it didn't bother him that she had turned him down for Matt, the one who had broken her heart & hurt her beyond any reasonable boundaries, it killed him on the inside knowing that Julia, his Jules, was with someone else & not himself, the one who helped comfort her & helped her gain back confidence that she had lost from her experience with Matt. He was completely jealous, but he never clued anyone in on it. He didn't want anyone to know how he truly felt on the inside. He knew it would hurt to much to even begin to think of it, so he tried as hard as he could to block it all from his mind. But, oh god, when he saw those two together it stung like hell & made him wish a black hole would open & suck him up.
But then again, why the fuck did he have to do without her love? Matt didn't fucking deserve her like he did. He wasn't the one that had hurt her so goddamn fucking bad, but Matt was & yet here he found himself, hating Matt more & more because some fucking how, Julia decided that her betrayer deserved her more than the one who had treated her like a goddess did. It probably never did, he thought to himself, staring blankly at the wall across from him. He hadn't felt this shitty in the longest of times. So far back he couldn't fucking remember. No. She just wanted to be hurt again. He didn't matter to her, neither did his kindness, love, support or understanding remember. I shouldve known she was just another ditz who wanted a small bit of pity & for someone to feel sorry for them & their "problems", he thought bitterly, looking at the clock, then to the door as JC walked in.
"Alright Lance, would you mind spilling to me what the fuck has been going on with you lately?" JC asked, sitting down next to him.
Lance sighed & looked around the living room of JC's house. The one he would soon be sharing with Christina. The only girl that could never hurt JC even if she tried to make herself. He could take one small glance at the couple & see just how fucking happy they are. What the fuck was happiness? An emotion that gets played with for someone else's amusement. That's all it really was to Lance anymore. He looked at JC & saw the worry & curiosity in his friend's eyes. Then looking deeper he saw everything else revolving around Christina. Why does he get to have someone love & choose him? It wasn't fair that Lance had to suffer while everyone else got to lead happier than hell lives, not even noticing how jealous he was of everyone.
"Come on Lance, tell me what's going on," JC said.
Lance's eyes shifted from JC's face to the floor as he shifted in his spot on the couch. "Why do you care?"
"Because Lance, I'm your friend & true friends care about what's wrong with their friends. Does this have something to do with Jewel?"
Lance's eyes shifted again to JC's face & he glared at his friend. "It has nothing to do with her JC. I've told you guys before that my issues have nothing to do with her. The fact that she chose some asshole that hurt her before & will probably hurt her again over me, someone who loved, cared, comforted, & supported her, doesn't bother me. Why the fuck don't you & the other guys just leave me alone about it?!" Lance yelled, standing up. "Until you guys can learn to stay the fuck out of my lives & stay in your own, then I'm not coming back here," Lance growled, storming out of the house, slamming the door behind himself.
*^*At Ashley's House*^*
The trio of friends, Ashley, Christina, & Julia sat around the living room, lounging lazily while they listened to some of Ashley's CDs. Ashley & Christina weren't exactly thrilled that Julia had made the choice she had, which is why they had brought her over. They just hadn't clued her in on it just yet. They decided that they were going to casually slide it into the conversation then have a normal talk about it. But until then, music, ice cream, candy, & drinks were the only thing on their agenda. Until the two girls felt the time was right, they were going to keep quiet about it.
When the CD they had been listening to ended, Christina turned off the CD player when Ashley tossed her the remote. "So, what do you think of the girl's new selection?" Christina asked Julia, looking over at the girl who was rubbing her swollen abdomen in slow rubs while she stared out the window.
"Yo, chica!" Ashley hollered, making Julia jump & look over at them.
"What?" she asked, looking completely clueless to the fact that her friends were trying to talk to her.
"I asked ya how you liked Ash's new selection & you didn't reply," Christina replied. "You acted like you were in lala land."
"Sorry, zoned out again. I've been doing that a hell of a lot more lately & I can't figure out why... Oh well, as an answer to the question, I think it rocks. Where the hell did you get all he CDs?" Julia asked, looking from Christina to Ashley.
Ashley grinned, giggling a little. "Well, let's just say Justin has a bad habit of searching through my collection to find out what I don't have yet &," Ashley paused a moment to look at Christina with an accusing look, "ask a certain somebody what CDs I wanted. Then he took down a list & went to the mall & got them. You can bet he got a good mouth full when he gave them to me."
"I'm sure he did get a mouth full of something," Julia smirked, giggling.
"Oh shut up!" Ashley yelled, blushing.
"He did didn't he!" Julia laughed.
"He did not! He-"
"He got a mouth full of her Poon-nonni!" Christina laughed, joining in on the joke Julia had started.
