Chapter 12:Come Over
*^* Four Days Past*^*
Julia watched the clock as she waited for the class to start. She had made it to her Integrated Science class before all the other kids & the teacher had left to go get his mail from the office. The door opened & she looked to the door to see who had come in. Her body tensed & her heart leapt to her throat & began to pound when he walked in. Matt. He walked over & took his seat infront of her. "Hi..." she said in a hushed tone.
"Hey Jules," he smiled at her, getting comfortable in his seat. "Having a good morning?"
"Sort of... Got here a little earlier by accident... You?"
"Good. Especially now that I'm here with you. Why did you get here early?"
"Because Ash couldn't get here & JJ had to take me to school."
"I see... So, have you thought about what I offered?" he asked, a strange glint in his eyes.
Julia saw the glint & softly bit her lip. "Yah, I have thought about it," she answered.
"And?" he asked. "What's your decision?"
"My decision is-"
"Wait, before you answer... Why didn't you call me that night?"
"I couldn't think of an answer... Beside Chrissy & her boyfriend, well...fianc?came over to see how I was. they were there until three in the morning."
"Understandable... So," he said, looking into her eyes. "What's your answer?"
"I've decided to give you a chance... But if you hurt me Matt...there is no way in hell you will ever see this baby," she warned.
"Alright. That's all fine by me."
*^*Past One Night*^*
Julia looked at the clock on the wall, watching the second hand slowly creep along as if time was about to slow to a complete stop & never start up again. She was waiting for Matt to call like he said he would. She hadn't told anyone yet of her giving Matt a second chance & she wasn't ready to just yet. She had to make sure things were going to work out before she released the news. When the phone rang, she quickly picked up the phone. "Hello?"
"Hey Jules," a deep voice replied.
"Lance?" Julia asked, hiding the slight disappointment in her voice.
"Yea, hey. How are you feelin' tonight?"
"Doing good myself. And you?"
"Same."
Julia smiled when she heard her call waiting warning beep in her ear. "Hey Lance, can you hold on a moment, I've got a call coming through."
"Sure."
"Thanks," she smiled, switching the line. "Hello?"
"Jules, that you?"
"Yea Matt it's me..."
*^*Justin's Home*^*
"So man, is tonight the night you ask her?" Justin asked, sitting down next to Lance on the couch.
"Yea," Lance replied, looking at him. "I'm a little nervous though. I don't know what I'll do if she says no..."
"I couldn't imagine why she would..." Justin assured his friend. "Come on man, you said you guys are close right?"
"Yea..."
"She trust you & you trust her, right?"
"Yea..."
"Then there's no way in hell she'll say no! So chill you Albanian ass & look to the best."
"Whatever Justin..."
"By the way... Why are you talking to me & not her?"
"She's got me on hold. A call came through."
"Call waiting sucks," Justin chuckled.
*^*Julia's Home*^*
"Matt, can you hold on a moment? I've got someone on the other line & I need to hang up on them."
"Sure thing Julia. I'll hold."
Julia switched the line back over. "Are you still there?"
"Yea, I'm here still."
"Okay, um Lance, I'm really sorry & all, but someone important is on the line for JJ. I'll have to call you back tomorrow because I'm not sure when JJ will be getting off the phone."
"It's alright Julia. Complete understanding."
"Alright, thanks Lance. Bye."
"Bye Julia."
Julia switched the line back over. "You still there?"
"Yea I'm here," Matt replied.
"Good, can I call you back just to make sure the other line hung up properly?"
"Sure thing."
"Kay, bye," Julia said as she hung up the phone. She quickly dialed Matt's number & waited patiently for him to pick up.
"Hello?"
She smiled slightly at Matt's voice. "Hey."
"So, everything taken care of?"
"Yep. Other line is hung up."
"I hope that wasn't someone important."
"It wasn't."
"Hey Julia?"
"Yea Matt?"
"Can you come over for a little? I really want to see you again."
"I don't know Matt."
"Please? I really need to see you again."
Julia sighed into the phone. "I'll see what I can do... It might take me a little while to get over there though."
"Alright. Thank you so much baby. See you when you get here."
"Bye Matt."
"Bye Julia."
Julia hung up the phone & grabbed her purse, slipping on her sneakers. She slowly & quietly opened her door & peaked out into the hallway, looking for any sign of someone else. Seeing it was safe, she crept out & crept down the stairs, being careful not to make any noise. She reached the door & froze when she heard her mom's voice. "And just where do you think you're going this time of night young lady?"
"I'm going over to Ashley's... If that's okay with you mom," she lied.
"I hope you plan on spending the night then with how late it is."
"Yea."
"And you're only taking your purse?"
"She said I can wear a pair of her PJs."
"Hon, do you really want to walk three miles in your condition?"
�No, but I didn�t want to bother you, dad, or Jake for a lift.?#060;br>
"You know it would be no sweat baby," her mother smiled. "Go ahead & hop in the car, I'll give you a lift."
"Alright, but can you go ahead & drop me off at the Jiffy near her house? She said she was going to be there doing some late-night snack shopping."
"Sure thing sweetie."
