Chapter 11:Truth Or Lie?

*^*One month past*^*

Lance & Julia were closer than ever in her fifth month. Even though Lance wasn't the father of her baby, he still felt like he was with how close he stayed to her to make sure she didn't have any trouble from Matt. He was even close to asking her if they could go on a small dating trial.

Julia looked out the window of her home, thinking about the baby growing inside of her. Subconsciously she lowered her hand to her stomach, rubbing the soft yet firm curve of her stomach, wondering how the baby would turn out. She often wondered why Matt had done to her what he had. Hadn't he realized yet just how much he had actually hurt her? It hurt her so much she could swear she'd died of the emotional pain of a terribly & wrongfully broken heart. A harsh tap at the window made her jump & almost fall of her window seat. Looking down at the ground, she saw Matt standing in her font yard, getting ready to throw another rock, but stopped himself when he saw her in the window. What does he want? And why is he risking coming here? Am I the only one home? she asked herself, looking in the driveway, not seeing any of the cars belonging to her family. She looked back to him & moved away from her window.

*^*Outside*^*

Where the hell did she go? Matt asked himself. He looked at the front door as it opened & Julia walked outside. "Hey Julia," he smiled.

"What are you doing here Matt?" she asked, standing in the doorway to keep her distance.

"I had to come by & see you."

"Why? You have nothing here..."

"I have a son or daughter here," he replied, looking at her stomach.

Julia looked at him with caution. "You said you didn't want to claim this baby Matt, why change your mind one month later?"

"Because I realized how stupid I was being Jules... Please, give me a chance to try & be a father to this baby? I don't want the baby to grow up not knowing his or her father. Please?"

"I don't know Matt... You hurt me pretty damn bad."

"I know I did Julia, & that was completely wrong of me. I had no right to even be hurting you like that."

Julia bit her lip, racking her mind to figure out if he was lying or if he was completely sincere. "Matt, you'd better leave. If my parents catch you here, or JJ for that matter, they'll kill you..."

"I'm not leaving til you answer me."

Julia sighed. "Can I at least have time to think about it?"

"Sure... See you later Julia... Call me tonight at eight with your answer."

"Alright... Goodbye Matt." Julia watched as Matt got in his car & drove away. She sighed & backed inside her home, shutting the door. What do I do? she asked herself, leaning against the wall by the door. The phone rang & she walked over, picking it up. "Hello?"

"Julia, can you get the door in a few minutes? I'm coming over & I'm going to be carrying a bunch of stuff," Christina said into the phone. "JC's coming along with & he's going to help, but neither of us can get the door."

"Sure thing," Julia said. "But can I ask what all the stuff is?"

"Just some stuff. Most of it is a secret & some of the stuff is a little something for you."

Julia rolled her eyes. "Fine, but I'm hurting you for getting me something."

"Hey hit Josh! His idea & money," Christina giggled. "I just helped pick stuff out."

Julia chuckled lightly & smiled. "Alright, I'll be waiting."

"See you in three."

Julia hung up the phone & got out three glasses, pouring water in two of them & strawberry milk in the last one. For some reason she was craving some strawberry milk today. Hearing the familiar honk of Christina's camaro, Julia rushed to the door & opened it up, walking outside, leaving the drinks on the counter inside for when the other two got inside.

"Hey Jewel!" JC smiled, waving at her.

Julia never did figure out why he called her "Jewel" instead of "Jules", or "Julia", like everyone else. She smiled & waved back. "Hey Josh! I see Chrissy got you to wear your glasses."

"She wouldn't stop begging & whining," he chuckled, hugging her tightly.

Julia hugged back & watched as he let go, helping Christina grab some things & walk inside. When they grabbed the last of the things, all three walked inside, JC shutting the door behind them.

"So, what's this secret?" Julia asked, putting her hands on her hips, looking between JC & Christina.

"Well," Christina grinned. "You wanna tell her?" she said, looking at JC.

"Nope, she's you 'chica', you tell her," JC chuckled.

"Would one of you just tell me before I explode here?"

"Oh be patient," Christina teased, knowing patience wasn't one of Julia's best qualities.

"Oh ha ha ha Chrissy. Now one of you tell me!"

JC snickered. "Just as impatient as Chris."

"Oh hush you... Now will someone please tell me?"

"Well, chica, JC & I have got some wonderful news," Christina smiled.

"Well what is it?" Julia smiled.

"Well..." Christina smiled. "He popped the question!"

"Question?"

"He asked me marry him...?"

"Oh! Hehe, sorry blonde moment... Congrats chica!" Julia said, hugging Christina. Letting go of Christina, Julia moved to JC hugging him tightly. "Congrats Josh! if she hurts you or you hurt her, I'll be glad to smack both of ya'll for being so stupid."

"Thanks for the warning," he chuckled.

"Welcome, so, what did you two crack heads get me?"
