Chris & Angela had been hanging out together & Cait felt proud of herself. Normally Ang & any guy Cait hooked Ang up with never saw each other after the night they met. One time, if the guy was lucky, Angela would see him a few more times before "losing" contact.
Angela had been known to be pretty damn picky in the men she chose to date. There were things she looked for. They had to be sweet, funny, not racist, homophobic, hypocritical, & have to be understanding about how she lived her life & made her choices. She did not like to be controlled or criticised about her life's choices. Although with Chris, she could tell he was nothing like the assholes she'd met in the past. He actually had potential & that was a little scary to her. She had never met a man who actually had potential.
She felt his arm wrap around her waist she smiled. At the moment they were at a small park set on the inlet & together were watching the sunset. He had walked away for a moment to take a call from his mother, but on his way back made sure to turn off his phone so no one could interrupt again. He had earlier forgotten to turn it off, but now didn't risk it. He had made sure to turn it off on his way over. He didn't think she would like anymore interruptions. He hadn't meant for the first one... Even if it was the last one.
Angela turned around, resting her head on Chris' shoulder as their arms wrapped around one another. She couldn't help but think about how wonderful Chris had turned out to be. She knew she would end up thanking Cait in the long run.

-Next Day-
"Lance!" Cait shrieked, giggling when Lance pinched her butt as the two walked outside to the Tracker.
"Now get in & go!" Lance smiled, pulling the door open.
"No," Cair argued. "Not until you tell me why you're so instant on me leaving!"
"Because I think you deserve a nice shopping spree with my money & you need to be pampered," Lance smiled, shoving his credit card in her purse & handed it back to her after snatching it from her in the first place.
"But La-"
"No. Go. Now."
"Bu-"
"Caitlin!"
"Yes?" she sighed, looking at him as she folded her arms over her chest.
"Shush. Just go out & have fun with the card. Stay out as long as you want. Use as much money as you want. I won't care hon. I want you to have a blast today."
Cait smiled & hugged him tightly. "Why didn't you just tell me that in the first place? Now that you mention it, I guess I do need a few new things..."
"Then go get those things & have a blast..."
"Okay... But only because you're so instant.
"Alright, now get scootin'."
Cait jumped in the Tracker & started the engine, pulling out of the driveway.
Lance waved & smiled as he watched her disappear down the driveway. "God I thought she'd never leave!" Lance muttered under his breath as he turned & walked inside, shutting the door behind himself. "Now...where to start..."

Chris pulled back on the bike's handle, revving the engine as he sped down the road on his Suzuki motorcycle, the wind whipping through his short hair & his dark shades sheilding his eyes from the angry sun. He wasn't bothered by the flapping of his shirt as it whipped around him. he had leftit undone since it was till kind of hot outside, thinking the breeze from the air moving around him would cool him off. He was right about that. He slowed down to a stop as the light turned red, halting him. He ran a hand through his hair as he sat up on the seat, waiting for the light to turn. He was enjoying the breeze that he was getting from his ride. A car pulled up next to him. Choosing to ignore it, he adjusted his shades & rested his hand on his thigh. He wanted to ignore the car longer, but the sound of an automatic window rolling down made him snap to attention, his body tensing as the shrill sound of a screaming fan broke the silence. Looking up as the light turned green, he revved the engine, speeding off down the road, the scream dying out behind him as he outdistanced the car in a matter of moments. The wind was whipping through his hair & his shirt was flapping around him as he continued his speed rush down the practically empty road. He saw his turn coming up & slowed down to a safe speed as he took the turn.

Angela stared out at her backyard from her spot on her porch swing. She had the headache from hell & right now all she wanted to do was relax. She was just now getting over a shitty day. She was 2 minutes late so her boss fired her without severance pay & sent her home at that very moment, she got sideswiped on the interstate when someone asshole was trying to come over into her lane & they weren't watching to see if it was clear or not, nearly went off the road when she was sideswiped by the moron, & then she came home to find out that her new puppy, a Cockerspaniel named Bastard, who she just got yesterday, had gone on a rampage through the house, ripping up her sofa, some pillows that were on the sofa, & among other things, took a few craps on the new carpeting she had put in two months ago. She didn't think things could get worse, but she was proved wrong when after she was done cleaning the house, a pipe in the kitchen burst, spraying water everywhere so she had to call in a repair man who did nothing but fart, burp, & cough without covering his mouth while he worked. Then when he was done, had the nerve to make a move on her. That was the last straw. She threatened that if he didn't get out now, she would call his manager. So just for the safety of his job, he left, saying that what he did for her was a charity job & that she didn't have to pay.
Now that she finally had the house cleaned, she just wanted to relax on her porchswing. She closed her eyes & had just started to drift off when she heard a motorcycle pull into her driveway & the engine die. She opened her eyes & walked around to the side fence & opened it, poking her head out to see Chris. She smiled slightly. "Hey," she said, opening the gate a little further.
He got off his motorcycle & walked up to her. "Hey... Hope you don't mind if I stopped by for a little while. If you're too tired from work, that's completely understandable. I can come back later."
"No, you're okay. Come on back."

Caitlin opened the door & walked inside with all of the bags she carried with her. In the bags were an assortment of clothes, shoes, CDs, movies, everything she had bought on her little shopping spree. She set them all on the couch & picked up a note lying by the phone:
Cait,
Meet me upstairs... I have a surprise for you...
Love,
Lance
Cait set the note down & walked upstairs to the bedroom & opened the door to see Lance laying on the bed with rose petals scattered everywhere. Candles were the only light provided in the room since the curtains were drawn shut, but it provided enough light for her to see that he was only in a pair of black silk boxers.
Hearing the door open, he looking over at the door to see her. He sat up on the edge of the satin sheets & picked up a box from the dresser next to the bed. "Caitlin... Will you marry me?"
