"Justin Timberlake's debut solo album, Justified, comes out on Tuesday (November 5) via Jive Records. With *NSYNC on hiatus, Timberlake told LAUNCH that the timing was just right for him to release a solo effort. "It's really more about timing than anything," he explained. "It just worked out."

Timberlake said of his desire to record a solo album. "It's something that's kind of been an ongoing thing for me as a kid, and I just got, you know, in the madness of all the *NSYNC (news - web sites) craze, things just got so crazy. I think as a group we decided to kind of slow down and see where our heads were at and what we wanted to do for the next record. You know, I just got this creative spurt and went in the studio, and here it is."

Meanwhile, the other members of *NSYNC are each keeping busy with their own individual projects. Following his turn in the amazing box-office success My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Joey Fatone is currently starring in the Broadway production of Rent. Lance Bass is still training and pursuing his life-long dream of becoming an astronaut, and Chris Kirkpatrick recently made a cameo in the video for Good Charlotte's "Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous." In addition, J.C. Chasez has recorded four songs with producer Dallas Austin for the soundtrack to the film Drumline.

Timberlake's Neptunes-produced first single, "Like I Love You," is currently at Number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. The second single, "Cry Me A River," will hit radio airwaves on November 11, and the music video will impact on November 25. "Cry Me A River" was co-written by Timberlake, Timbaland, and Scott Storch.
