Justin Timberlake Talks New Album, Possible Tour, & 'NSync
(Wednesday, November 06, 2002 4:36:15 PM) from Allstar:
Justin Timberlake, 'NSync's main man and newfound solo artist, got one thing right: The world is a bit over bubblegum pop.
"I don't think people want to hear [bubblegum pop] so much anymore. I know I don't," Timberlake admitted during an interview late last week. This would explain why - for those who don't know - Timberlake's debut solo album, Justified, falls more under the smooth, R&B - old-school style -- category than pure pop.
Even with his forward-thinking musical direction, Timberlake says that 'NSync will be making another record and he will be part of it. "I would do it in a heartbeat," he said.
'NSync aside, Timberlake says he will tour behind Justified (due Nov. 5 on Jive), though no firm plans are in place yet. The second single, "Cry Me a River," which was co-written by Timberlake, Timbaland, and Scott Storch, will hit radio Nov. 11 and video outlets Nov. 25.
And, on the artist's wish list these days are collaborations with Coldplay's singer Chris Martin or Lenny Kravitz.
