Chapter 6
Kaycee sat back and slid into her bubble bath, she was finally relaxing. She kept
replaying the events of the past twenty four hours in her mind, over and over again.
Somehow she had signed online after a disaater date, she met someone who came on to
her like a brush attacks messy hair, then somehow he became a sweet Prince Charming, then
she went and met with her family who attacked her with the "So when is a nice girl
like you going to settle down", but finally she spoke to Joey and now she was making
plans to go to Florida for a concert. As the thoughts replayed all she could
think of was how totally unreal this must be. If this was a dream, she hoped she
would sleep for a long time! Reality sunk in hard as the phone rang with a
shrill disturbing her peace. She gathered a towel around her and headed into
the living room cussing out the phone, until she answered it.
"Hello?"
"Bella?" Joey asid rapidly
"Joey, do you know what time it is?" she said with an amused giggle.
"I know its been about an hour since we hung up, and I just wanted to call
you back to tell you goodnight again. Were you sleeping? Joey asked
"No, I was taking a bubble bath" Kaycee answered matter of factly.
"oh really. So that means you are wearing what now?" Joey asked with
a bit
of a breathless sigh
"basically Joey, I am wearing a towel. Just a towel"
"Ohhhhhhhhhh my. Now that is a visual that will make it hard to sleep
with"
Kaycee let out a giggle, how did he do this to her? how did the sound of him letting an
"Oh" escape his lips send goosebumps all over her body and yet they had only
spoken a few times. What was this hold he already had on her before he had so much
as held her hand.
"Bella, when we meet, would it be too forward for me to kiss you?"
"No Joey it wouldn't" Kaycee decided that in an instant.
Joey let out a soft sigh on the end of the phone, never had someone taken a hold on him
like this. Never had he asked for that kiss, he just took his chances on a
kiss or a slap. Sure there had been women, plenty of them, but never a woman that
made him want to touch her when he knew he was miles away from her. Never had there
been a woman that made him want to pull her close, and the worst part was he knew when he
finally held Kaycee in his arms it was going to be a struggle to let her go.
Kaycee got quiet for a minute, she asked Joey to hang on so she could go grab her robe.
As she ran into her bed room, Joey sat on the other end of the phone waiting.
He was enjoying his time with Kaycee but a part of him had to wonder if he jumped
too quick. As fast as that thought entered his head she picked the phone back up.
"Joey? Are you there?"
"yea Kay I am here.. I was waiting for you"
"Thank you, I am in a robe now a little more comfortable then trying to hold a towel
up"
Joey let out an audible gulp, and then proceeded to try and bring up what was on his mind
in the most delicate manner Joey knew how.
"So I am wondering what happens if when we meet, things are different?"
"different? how so?"
"well, what if you look at me, and go "Oh a toad, no amount of kisses can make
this one a prince" then what?" Joey asked quietly.
"Joey, I am not going into this with any expectations" Kaycee said but continued
" If we hit it off great, if not we have a new friend out of this"
"Good answer Bella" Joey replied finally placing that famous smile back on his
face.
"Joey the last thing I want to do is hang up but I have wet hair and I am
exhausted, would you hate me if I said good night?"
"No Bella, could never hate you. Good night beautiful"
"Night. Talk to you tomorrow?" Kaycee asked boldly.
"Yes when should I call?" Joey asked giggly.
"whenver you want Joe. Good night sweetie"
Joey placed his phone on his chest and looked at the clock it was now 3:10 in the morning,
being up this late was never that much of a shock, but being up becuase he couldn't
get a woman off his mind, well ok that wasn't too new either, but being up because the
visual of her in the towel, ok no that wasn't new. So what made this one different?
He realized he didn't know and maybe just maybe that is what made her so
special.
Chapter 7
Hayley ran through her kitchen grabbed an apple out of the fridge, she sat down on her couch and decided today was a good day to work from home. She turned on the TV and hit the ending of "This I promise you". She sat back and sighed. Was this really happening to her? She had not spoken to Kaycee yet, but somehow she had a feeling before the morning was out she would. Almost on cue the phone rang.
"Hellooooooooooooo." she said fully expecting Kaycee.
"well good morning to you too dear" JC said with a laugh.
"oh um I thought you were someone else.. kaycee!" Hayley said feeling a bit out of her mind.
JC laughed and said "Hey no harm in being excited, will I do?"
Hayley slid back onto her couch, "oh yes defintiely!! I was just watching you"
"huh?" Jc asked confused.
"on a video. "This I promise you" was on. Beautiful" She said quietly.
"Thanks, its a great song, very sweet" .
"Did you ever dedicate it to
anyone?"
JC thought back to the one time he had dedicated it to someone, he had told a young girl
he had met through "Make-a-wish" that when he sang it that night it was for her.
She blushed and he smiled. JC thought of her often wondering how she was doing, but had
never told anyone the story. for the first time he wanted to tell someone.
"yea Hayl I did, i dedicated it to a ten year old with terminal cancer. She came
backstage at a concert"
"Did you? Oh JC what a wonderful thing to do!"Hayleys heart smiled.
"Yea it was on our last tour, she came backstage and she was talking to me, she was
so mature for 10, it seemed as if her disease made her grow into a
miniature adult." JC said matter of factly.
Hayley was quiet, she didn't know what to say. "I am sorry" she said silently.
"We see these kids all the time, and they stick with you, but this one has stuck with
me and doesn't seem to ever let go" JC said with a sad tone in his voice.
"Have you ever checked on her again? do you know who she was?"
"No, I haven't checked on her, but yea I know her name. It was Sarah Paige" JC
answered he could not believe how caring she was to ask.
Hayley sat back, she had tears forming in her eyes, not because of what he had said, but
because of how he had said it . In her life she had never met a man with a heart as big as
the solar system. JC heard her stifle a sob, and he caught it immediately.
"Hayley? Are you ok babe? Is it me?"
"No, well yes it is you, I have never known anyone like you. You have the whole world
at your beck and call, and yet you have this heart that is three times the size of any
normal person's". Hayley blurted out fast.
"Wow. I don't think in my life I have ever had a compliment that great Hayley. Thank
you for that" JC whispered.
"Its not a compliment JC. It is a fact" Hayley said realzing she was heading
towards melodrama she quickly added " but I bet you still don't pick up your towels
off the floor"
JC laughed, Hayley was different. Most women who found out who he was had the attitude of
him being something to conquer more then him being a person. It had always bothered him,
and at times it made him regret he had a celebrity status. JC was looking forward to their
date, for the first time in as long as he could remember he had a date with someone who
wanted to date Josh or Plain ole JC not NsyncJC, this date was with somoene who seemed to
be interested in him as a person.
"JC did I lose you, you are so quiet." Hayley asked
"No, i am still here, I was just thinking"
"Penny for your thoughts?"
"That I am looking forward to meeting you"
"I can't wait JC, I want to talk to you and look at you as we talk.. eye to
eye."
JC and Hayley continued to talk about what they were looking forward to, and what they
wanted to do with the day other then the concert. Hayley told him it was entirely up to
him, she would follow his lead. JC's mind shifted into over drive there was so much he
would like to do wtih Hayley. But the jist of it, was just be with her. He didn't know why
he was so fond of someone he had only met online and spoken to no more then five times
total, but somehow this was where he wanted to be.
As JC and Hayley were talking she had put a CD on, in the background JC could hear the
light strains of with Billy Joel in the background.
"Billy Joel? "he asked.
"yea he is one of my favorites, just love the way he sings" Hayley admitted.
JC could hear Piano Man begin and slowly began to sing to Hayley. On the other end of the
phone, Hayley sat phone clenched in her hand listening to his beautiful voice sing out
each lyric. As he finished the song, and before he could speak Hayley spoke up.
"That was amazing Josh, I have tingles all over me"
"I am glad you liked it, any other requests?"
"No, not right now, but i want a rain check"
"Deal beautiful."
JC didn't want to end this conversation, he was talking to the first person to keep his
attention in sometime. But he knew he had to call the travel agent and get her trip
squared away. He was eager to meet her face to face, and wanted to know if a hug would be
too forward so in their goodbyes he blurted it out.
"Good bye hon I will call her and call you back shortly, but I do have a quick
question"
"Sure dear whats up??" Hayley asked
"Would it be too forward, you can say no, if i was to hug you when we met?" JC
managed to stammer out.
"I think it would be lovely to hug you JC" Hayley responded, she put a hand up
to her cheek and could feel the flame of her blushing.
"I will talk to you soon either online or here ok?"
"Yes sweetheart, goodbye"
"Bye Hayley"
They hung up, and JC set off on his mission to get her trip arranged, he made a call to
Joey to compare notes and make sure he knew when Kaycee would arrive so they would get in
close to the same time. This was gonna be awesome!
Hayley sat on her couch for a minute, there had to be a way to find out who Sarah Paige
was and if she was still alive. She sat and thought, and pulled out her filofax, she
flipped through looking for someone's name to jump out at her. When she saw the right
person to call. She clapped her hands and dialed the phone, she was calling
"Make-a-wish" themselves, she forgot she had helped them last fall, now maybe
they could help her.
Chapter 8
Kaycee was humming to herself, she laughed when she realized she was humming one of Joey's songs, "Ready to fall" . She was trying to relax but all she could think of was Joey. She was wondering what he would do if she walked up to him gave him a hug and kissed him lightly on the neck. Would he think she was too forward? Or Just roll with it. She closed her eyes and leaned her head back against the chair as she was just getting into her visual the phone rang, giggling she picked it up.
"Helloo" Kaycee said.
"Kay! Its me. I need your help. JC has a girl, I gotta find her, you gotta
help" Hayley rambled off before explaing.
"Do WHAT? SLOW Down and lets try the WHOLE story Hayl"
"Ok. so I am talking to JC, and I told him I had just watched a video and I aked if he had ever dedicated the song to anyone, he told me yes to a young cancer patient. Oh Kay he sounded so sad, he didn't know what had happened to her.. I have to find her for him!" Hayley finally got it all out.
"And just how pretell do you plan on doing that?"
"Remember the Disney ad campaign last year, who was it for??"
"OHHHHH Make a wish!! Do you have a name??"
"Yea, its Sarah. Sarah Paige. She was 10 when he saw her, but I am not sure when that was, he never said. I have to find her and find out how she is, something tells me this is something he loses slep over" Hayley told her friend.
"Ok what can I do to help? DO you know any details like city or anything?"
"No, all I know is he dedicated a song to her. "This I promsie you" on the last tour, but she has to be out there."
"Ok Hayl relax go use your marketting skills and call "Make a wish" I am gonna go call Joey, and see what he can tell me without details"
"Kay, thank you. You know i love ya!!"
"yea hayl I know, I love ya too! Its been too long since we have seen each other I can't wait to see ya!!"
"yea I know what you mean. Ok let me go call these people. Talk to you later tonight?"
"Yea if I am not on the phone or online" Kaycee said with a dreamy sound in her voice.
"Oh brother bye Kay"
"bye Hayl"
As soon as they hung up Kaycee grabbed for her filofax and pulled the number of her contact out. She dialed the number, and when it was received she aske to speak to Mike Walker.
"Hi Mike, not sure if you remember me or not. My name is Hayley.."
Before she could finish he interuptted her "HAYLEY! how are ya?"
"I am good Mike, but I do have a favor, and its a weird one"
Mike listened as Hayley explained the whole story to him, everything from meeting JC on the computer to talking to him about Sarah, she told him she wanted to find this girl to give JC peace of mind and asked if he could help.
"Wow Hayley that is a helluva story, I can try and help but it may be hard to find her, but I'll look ok? Can I call you back with what I find out?"
"Yes! oh thank you Mike!! You are an angel to help with this!!"
Hayley's smile could have lit up an entire cities skyline, she was excited that she might be able to help JC find this little girl. She sat back against her couch and her phone rang again.
"Hello?"
"Hi baby, how are you?"
"JC?" Hayley asked
"Yep, is it too soon to call you Baby?"
Hayley melted into her furniture and tried to get the word "no" out.
"No JC not at all sweetheart, you can call me anything"
JC smiled, and then remembered he had a purpose for this call, other then to flirt with Hayley.
"I spoke to Lydia, the travel agent, she has your plans all set. You leave out of LAX at 6:00 PM on Thurs and have a layover in Atlanta then you get here at 8:10 AM on Friday, I am sorry you have to fly all night babe, but if its that early I can go meet you at the airport" JC explained.
"Thats fine JC, I don't mind. Do you have any idea when Kaycee will be arriving?"
"No, none at all" JC lied, they were going to reuinte the girls in Atlanta to make it a little less overwhelming for them.
"Thats fine JC, I don't mind. Do you have any idea when Kaycee will be arriving?"

"Are you excited JC?"
"Well thats a silly question Hayley, I am very yes. you?"
"yes, I get to see an old friend, and a new friend in only three days" Hayley said .
JC could not believe how easy it was to talk to Hayley, it was like he was talkin to someone he had known his whole life, and anytime they chatted it was never long enough. He could visualize what their first moment was going to be like, but he almost always pushed the vision out of his mind, he didn't want to think about it. Not yet. He had to survive three more days, thank God he was busy this week. JC went ahead and said his goodbyes to Hayley and headed off to find Joey, as he knocked on Joeys door, he heard a "wait a second" and then saw him with phone on ear. JC whispered "Kaycee?" Joey smiled and shook his head.
"Hey Kaycee, say hi to a friend of mine for me" Joey said putting JC on the spot
"Sure love, put the friend on the phone" Kay said amused.
"Hi Kaycee, this is JC.."
"oh hi!! how are ya? You treating my friend good today?"
"yea I think so, we just hung up, I can't wait to meet you two" JC said fast and handed Joey back the phone. He ran down the hallway back to his room he had to do something to get his mind out of overdrive at least for now.
When Joey got back on the phone he heard his Bella letting out a laugh. Kaycee could not believe how shy JC was. "Hey Bella. I should probably give you your details of your flight."
"ok Joey, go ahead, i am ready." Kaycee said with a growl that made Joey raise his eyebrows and sent a chill through his entire body.
"You uh leave JFK at 6:00 AM.."
"HOLD IT JOSEPH.. WHAT TIME?"
"6:00 AM.." Joey whispered.
"Oh my I don't think anyone is up that early". Kaycee said.
"I will be. I will meet you at the airport in Florida at 8:10, ok? if we do it that early i can meet you there, no fans will be there"
"two hours and ten minutes, Where's the lay over?"
"Atlanta, for twenty minutes, then to Florida to me" Joey said returning her growl from earlier. Joey and Kaycee exchanged growls and flirts, he had come to realize that this woman had stolen a small piece of his heart already. Most of the time when that happened, he was scared out of his mind, but this time he was ok with it. On the other end of the phone, Kaycee sat with the phone to her ear, her mind was so wrapped up in Joey she was dizzy. They stayed on the phone for another set of hours, both of them had lost track of time again, but she did manage to find out that Sarah was from Tenn, Joey remembered it like it was yesterday, JC spent almost two hours with her, she had really make an impression on him. Joey told Kaycee that JC was still curious about her but had never used his celebrity status just to get information, he just thought if it was meant to be he would find out Kaycee smiled with satisfaction, if she knew Hayley it was going to be meant to be and he would get the information he needed .
Chapter 9
Joey knocked on JC's door and waited for his friend to open
it. He had a smile on his face that anyone could plainly tell waas of a man
thatw as up to something.
"JC! hurry up!!" Joey yelled
"I am COMING! hang on" JC yelled back
JC openned the door took one look at Joey and without missing a beat asked "Ok what's
up.. you have something planned I an tell"
Joey laughed he knew him too well but finally he spoke.
"Think anyone would notice if we went to Atlanta Friday morning?" Joey asked
with an undeniable twinkle in his eye.
"I think you have your lost your mind" JC said but
then continued "but we could pull it off"
JC and Joey plotted a wonderful surprise for Hayley and Kaycee, one neither one of them
could possibly be expecting. Joey was giggly as he talked about sneaking out,
and leaving a note on Lonnie's door, that simply said "went out .. back later-- Joey
and JC" JC quickly reminded him that Lonnie was the size of a small army
vehicle and would smush them like bugs if they did that. JC suggested
they talk to Mike, see if he would be willing to go with them, and that way "No harm,
no foul"
Friday morning---4:00 AM.
Good news, Mike agreed Bad news, he
decided they should drive. JC grabbed his Sleepy dwarf and brought him in the
car. Joey was too excited and too wired to sleep, all he could think of was
seeing Kaycee. Joey talked to Mike about everything from Kaycee to basketball
to Kaycee to food and then Kaycee again. Mike had never seen Joey so nervous in all
the time he had known him, Joey was the cool and confident one, not the nervous
type. JC was nervous but this time he was sleeping like a baby.
Joey got fed up as they were heading closer into Georgia, he was bouncing off the walls of
the car they were riding in, Mike was ready to slug him, and JC was finally stirring in
the back.. JC finally sat up "rubbed his eyes and asked how much longer?"
"about an hour, its almot 7:00 now JC, What if they beat us there? Joey asked with a
sense of urgency.
Before JC could say a word Mike spoke up, "SHUT UP JOSEPH we will get
there!"
JC laughed and said "Yea what he said.
Joey sulked and mumbled something about "should have left him behind"
The last hour of their trip flew by and as
they were pulling into the airport, Joey said something about hoping they were going to be
at gates near each other. JC looked up and just shrugged they would see.
As they parked and got out of the car, both men pulled their baseball caps on, and began
to walk on like regular people.
They entered the airport and checked the board. Kaycee's flight was on time and
landing in ten minutes!! Joey let out a "YES!!" and was eager to head to
the gate. Hayley's flight it said was "ARRIVING NOW" and JC looked
at Mike and Joey and took off down the hallway tryin to get there fast. They got
stuck in security and had to unload everything, and ran on to the gates. Hayley was
coming in at the gate across from Kaycee, and neither man could take the waiting much
longer.
Hayley sat on the plane, nervous and her foot tapping, she knew she had one flight left
till she got to meet JC and she could wait.,. really.. she meant it. As
they announced their arrival, she looked out her window, decided to take her time getting
off the plane no one was waiting for her so why rush?
Kaycee sat on her plane, her heart pounding. She was going to meet Joey and also
meet up with Hayley. She could not wait. The pilot announced the weather and
time in Atlanta and announced they would be on the ground in a few minutes. Kaycee got
everything she had all together and sat back, she closed her eyes and waited.
JC and Joey were acting like two cats on the prowl Neither one of them could sit
still and Mike wanted to send them both to the floor numerous times. As the door
openned up and Hayley's plane began to unload JC stood right in the door way waiting
for her, he was nervous and excited. He watched many people depart and meet up
with their families, but still no sign of Hayley. He began to frown, how could this
be? did she miss the flight, and then he looked up and his breath got in his throat.
The most beautiful woman in the world was walking through the door, he went to open his
mouth but only a small croak exited. He managed to sum up his nerve and said
"Hayley" She looked at him stunned, wondering if she knew him. He
removed his baseball cap and within less then a hair of a second she was in his arms. He
held on to her very tightly and said "Surprise" into the nape of her neck.
Hayley moved away from him and touched his cheek with her hand. She had a
tear in her eye and he removed it, he leaned in and kissed her cheek, smiling at her the
whole time.
They turned to look at Joey who was about ready to flip, he saw Hayley exit but didnt want
to leave Kaycee's gate. The plane had landed and the door's were openning, he
watched as JC did as families and friends were reunited, he watched people come and people
go, but then he saw her. "Bella" he said too quietly for her to hear so he
said it louder "Bella" She looked at Joey and jumped for him, he grabbed
her and pulled her into a deep bear hug and then surprising her but not himself he gave
her a nice kiss, not one that just said "Hello" but it said "Hello and damn
glad you are here" Kaycee pulled away from Joey and looked at him "I
can't believe you are here, I can't believe you came to meet me here" Joey
tipped her chin up to meet his deep brown gaze and said "Nowhere else I would rather
be Bella" Kaycee smiled at Joey and laid her head on his shoulder just
then she saw something out of the corner of her eye.
"HAYLEY!! you are here too??" Kaycee said giggling.
"YEA. How swet are they Kay?" Hayley said still holding on to JC.
Kaycee ran over and gave her friend a big hug and then whispered in her ear,
"And just wait till I tell you what kind of a kiss that man gave me"
Hayley laughed and stepped back into JC's arms. Mike suggested they take this back
to the car before people figured out who they were. Joey and JC agreed, and grabbed
both girls, and they headed out. JC with Hayley snuggly attached to him, and Joey
attached to Kaycee. Life was indeed good.
Chapter 10
The ride back to the hotel was a smooth one, JC sat with his hand in Hayleys the entire trip back. They whispered and chatted some with the others, but mostly they just smiled. Hayley was almost jealous of Kaycee receiving a kiss from Joey that made her world go tilt. But as that thought was passing into her head, JC took his finger and gently lifted her face to his, with a slight stroke of his finger against her cheek he lowered his lips to her's. He gently kissed her, showing her fireworks and she didn't care if they ever left. When they parted. JC whispered to her, "I have been wanting to do that, I hope you don't mind". Hayley shook her head and smiled.
"I am glad you did JC"
Joey sat with Kaycee, he reached behind him and handed her something, a delicate red rose. She took it and inhaled its scent, she smiled up at Joey and whispered"Thank you" Joey smiled and pulled her to him, he gave her a gentle kiss on top of the head, he wrapped her up in his arms and sighed. The sleep he missed on the way to the airport was catching up with him a bit, he stretched a little bit, and he and Kaycee snuggled and closed their eyes. Not too much longer after that Mike announced they were nearing the hotel.
As they arrived at the htoel, JC held Hayley's hand and kissed it, he told her "I want to warn you there will be fans waiting for us."
Hayley shook her head and smiled.
Kaycee turned around and looked at Hayley. She smiled, she had not seen Hayley this happy in so long. She heard JC warn Hayley about the fans and so had Joey. As if on instinct, Joey squeezed Kaycee a little closer and told her not to worry things would be fine.They got out of the car and headed in, Joey held on to Kaycee by slipping his around around her waist. When they walked in, the fans approached but it was not as bad as either of the ladies had suspected it would be. The fans said hello and asked to have things signed, but other then that it was nothing major at alll. While JC and Joey were signing everything from napkins to someone's arms. Hayley and Kaycee stood back and briefly caught up.
"You look good Hayley" KayCee remarked about her longer hair.
"Thanks. You too. How are things?"
"Good, right now I am just stunned" Kaycee said with a laugh.
"Yea, me too"
"Did you find her Hayley?" Kaycee asked unable to wait any longer.
"Yea I am hoping to find out more today, but yes I found her"
"Is she....."Kaycee asked.
"I don't know. I only know the basics" Hayley responded.
JC and Joey excused themselves from the fans and returned to Hayley and Kaycee.
"Shall we?" JC asked and offered his hand.
"Yes" Hayley replied. She knew anyone who saw her could see she was floating.
JC and Hayley walked through the hallway to her room, he had been handed her key from Mike and was ready to show her the room. He openned the door and held it for her, she walked in to see a vase of flowers sitting on the desk. On the bed sat a teddy bear that was not small in size. She turned to JC and gave him a big hug. "Thank you, this is so much more then I could dream". JC stood back and grinned, "You're welcome baby girl" JC could not imagine how it was that with Hayley he clicked better then with any woman he had met. He was not sure if he believed in love at first site but if for any reason that was possible, then this was very possibly it.
Hayley walked into the room, and as she turned to look at him. JC could not fight the urge he had to pull her to him and kiss her, he took her in his arms and gave her a full kiss, a kiss that was fo full and so intense, air could not fit between the two of them. Breathing was not necccessary for this moment, because the two of them were sharing the only air they needed.
When they finally pulled apart, Hayley looked up at JC with a sense of amazement on her face. JC looked at her. "I am sorry" Hayley was confused.
"FOR what?? for giving me the best kiss of my life. don't be!" but then she continued "just promise me that I will get kissed like that again sometime. JC took this as his invitation that sometime was now.
Hayley pulled away from JC and looked at him. "we have to slow down"
JC stepped back too "I am sorry"
"No, don't be sorry! I just don't want to go too far with someone i just met"
"I understand" And JC did.
Hayley stepped forward and placed her hand on his cheek, he leaned into her touch and she looked at him. She smiled ear to ear and shortly after his grin followed. They shared a hug but nothing more. Both of them realized that their was sexual tension but they were both strong enough to resist it, for now.
In the adjoining room, Kaycee and Joey were sitting talking. Joey kept calling her Bella, and Kaycee was still anxiosly trying to think of a nickname for him. she rambled off sugestions.
"Italian Stallion?" she asked
"uh no" Joey said
"Stud muffin?"
"no, I am Joey not Lance"
"Awww thats not fair!! ummm.. Loverboy?"
"Not an 80's rock group. next" Joey said squinting his eyes
"How about Beau?"
"Beau?"
"Yea Beau, you call me Bella then we are Bella and Beau"
Joey thought about it for a minute, it was corny. It was totally not him. HE LOVED IT. "yea I like that, lets go with that Bella"
"ok Beau" kaycee said giggling.
Mike and Lonnie knocked on the doors to remind them they had to go to soundcheck at the arena. They all went to the doors and openned them. Joey and JC invited them to come along but exhaustion took over, and both girls decided to go with them later this afternoon. The guys kissed them goodbye and headed for the doors. The girls turned and went back to their room ready to lay down.
Right after the guys left the adjoining door swung open, Hayley looked at Kaycee with a huge smile.
"I FOUND HER KAY!! She's alive!! She is in remission and doing well!!
Hayley shouted. "OH WONDERFUL HAYL!!! I am so thrilled"
"I want to bring her to the concert, will he mind?" Hayley asked.
"Oh Hayley I think he would be thrilled, but how are you going to pull it off without telling him who it is?"
"We can work something out, but as of right now, I found her and she is going to see him, so he knows she is ok"
"This has been pretty exciting huh Hayl?"
"yea it has. Who would have thunk it.. Let me call her mom and try to get things set up" Hayley said Hayley spent the next thirty minutes on the phone with Sarah's mom, she told her to meet her at the will call office and she would find a way to get her back. Her mom thought she was very sweet to do this, and Hayley did not know how to explain that she was doing it for JC. After she got off the phone she laid down on her bed, finding the sleep she had been doing without was not a challenge, shortly thereafter she was snoozing comfortably.
Kaycee sat in her room, looking outside at the view. She was content with life, she was content with being with Joey, and right now, she missed him. She missed him now as she replayed in her mind the numerous times he had kissed hersince she arrived. She missed his looking at her with his dark eyes, she could see his soul in his eyes and it was amazing.
Kaycee could not wait for Joey to come back and now she knew sleep would be impossible, but she had to try. She went to lay down on the bed she closed her eyes and the sleep she thought her body would fight, her mind let her have.
The women were sleeping and the guys had their minds elsewhere as well. JC could not keep his mind on Soundcheck, and Joey must have been snapped with a wet towel between ten and fifteen times by Lance who told him to "get your ass off cloud nine and sing" Joey just laughed and he and JC did their best to finish it up. And within seconds of it ending, Joey and JC were ready to go back to the hotel. Joey grabbed mike and told him they had to stop on the way back to the hotel.
"For what?" Mike asked
"don't worry about it. lets just stop" Joey said with conviction.
"Fine. but you better hurry it up"
"I wll. I will." joey said.
And with that, Joey pulled his hat down low over his eyes and ran into the mall, not telling anyone what he was going for, but leaving both JC and Mike wondering. Joey sprinted through the mall to the store he had contacted earlier in the day, he ran in and grabbed the package that was waiting for him. Pulling it out of the package he surveryed the airbrushed tshirt.
"Bella and Beau 2001"
"Its perfect. Thanks!" Joey paid and left, he was anxious to return to Bella
