All That You Are

Chapter 11
Make it Last

Lance stood with Kristy at the door of her room, The two could be mistaken for one if anybody was to pass by. It wasn’t possible for them to be any closer. Lonnie waited around the corner. Lance had her in a death grip and she wasn’t struggling to get away. His arms were wrapped solidly around her torso, one around her waist, and the other over her arm and down her back. Her face was burried in his neck and he nuzzled his nose into her hair. They stood this way, Kristy kissing his ear and cheek, and tracing odd shapes on his muscular shoulder with her free hand. She lifted her head to look at him. "Lance, I’ts soo early when I have to leave......I don’t wanna let you go, but if I don’t...."

"You’re not going anywhere Krissy.......not tomorrow anyway." Lance whispered in a muffled voice, as he touched her neck with his lips. She closed her eyes and revelled in the sensation of his heated breaths. "I need to have one more day with you before you go. There’s stuff we need to talk about."

"Okay...." she sighed, resigned and willing.

He took her hair and twisted it around, placing it to one side of her head. Lance had seemed to her a bit restrained when they first met, but his actions now were anything but undemonstrative. He ran his mouth up the length of Kristy’s shoulder, which was partly uncovered by her loose t-shirt. It was an uninterrupted motion, from her shoulder to her neck, to her ear, where he whispered to her. "Krissy....."

"Hmm" she could only manage to respond in sounds

"I can’t let you go. I can’t." his words were masculine and strained, as she felt his grasp grow stronger. "Just let me hold you tonight. I need to be with you."

She gazed into his eyes, appealing to her for consent. She responded in acton, rubbing her face against his, and reaching for the door. He loosened his hold so as to let her open it. There on the floor of the room, lay 4 pillows, each strewn haphazardly around the stereo. "Don’t ask." she said, smiling.

She led him to the same couch upon which she had cried so bitterly before. He pulled her down to him, holding both of her hands, and urgently found her mouth with his own.

For someone who had never kissed a man, Kristy had become expert in the short while it took them to reach the bottom of the roof stairs. Neither of them had wanted to stop, as she would take a step down, the wall to her side had become a steady place to lean, as Lance pressed her to it with instinctive kisses. They would stumble another 4 or 5, fully planning to reach the bottom, when his touch led to more improptu displays of affection.

Now, huddled together on the couch like two children, frightened of being seperated, they kissed passionately, Kristy couldn’t get over the softnes of his lips. It seemed no matter how eager his kisses became, the touch was always full of affection. He held her face with both of his hands now, showering every inch of it with the softness of his lips, breathing intensly the smell of her hair. "Oh God, I would have let you go. I would have let you go....." he kept repeating to her, his voice cracking, his body shuddering. All at once, Kristy had become the one with the power, as Lance was overcome by the intensity of his own emotions. She urged him to look into the same eyes she had feared him seeing before. She spoke pointedly. "I loved you.....from the second I met you. From the second you whispered to me at the table........" she smiled warmly.

"I trusted you knowing that you would choose to love for more than just beauty, because you’re sourrounded by it every day, and you don’t go falling into the arms of the first super model you see. I knew there would have to be something deeper for you to care about. I’ve never known a man who could claim that." Lance’s heart was wide now, carefully taking in the meaning of the words he could only see a glimpse of in her eyes before.

"Lance, I wasn’t attractive for a long time. I changed so much in the past few years. Now, every jerk from a 20 mile radius shows interest. And I knew the secret they didn’t know. I knew that the pick up lines, and the fancy ideals-- they were all an act. They didn’t know me before, and if they had, they wouldn’t have bothered. She looked at his expression to see if she’d lost him, he smiled at her with such understanding, that she was compelled to finish. "You saw who I am, Lance. You were the first man to look inside."

Lance’s arms rested at his sides now. Her words so touched him that he couldn’t speak. He reached over to rest his hand on her face. "Krissy......I....." he placed a delicate kiss on her lips and spoke to her with barely a a breath space between them. "I fell in love with you..............for all that you are."

Chapter 12
Letting You Go

Kristy woke up to Lance’s arms. The two had talked the night away, kissed the night away, cried the night away, and fallen asleep together, in a tight embrace on the couch. Now Lance still lay sleeping, his breaths slow and quiet, as Kristy contimplated how to get up without waking him. She knew sh’ed have to move his arms, which remaned around her waist. She considered her options, then taking one of his hands, slid it gently off of her. She hadn’t noticed his hands before. They were soft, and beautiful, yet well formed and strong. He stirred a bit, and she lay perfectly still. When it seemed safe to move again, she went for the other hand, carefully lifting it from her, and leaning forward to stand up.

"Don’t you dare." Lance’s tired voice startled her. She looked back at him, his eyes still closed. "Come....." he said, grabbing hold of one of her arms, and running his hand up the length of it. He opened his eyes. She smiled back at him, and touched his face, resting her hand on his shoulder. "I tried not to wake you up, you looked so peaceful."

"I have no intentions of letting you get away without a fight." his sleepy voice was sexy and Kristy was lured in. "Well if that’s the case, if it’s a fight you want............" Kristy began. "Then I don’t stand a chance." she finished. Lance pulled her back so her head lay once again against his chest, his eyes shut. Kristy could hear his heart beat, and every breath. She arched her head up to softly kiss his cheek. Lance felt her lips brush his face, and opened his eyes to see her soft hair spilled around him, and the rise and fall of her chest. This was a bit more than he could conceivably ignore.

"Krissy............." his voice beckoned for her attention. She turned to face him. "Was I dreamin or did an angel just kiss me?" he said.

"Well, I don’t know about any angels, but I couldn’t resist." she sighed

"Oh, don’t go resistin NOW then." his eyes twinkled.

She smiled wickedly. "Oh but you look so tired." she teased. "You should sleep some more."

"Eh hem...." Lance rolled his eyes with mock amusement. "Kiss me right now Kristy before I have to do something drastic."

She laughed and shook her head, She was enjoying the suddly increasing pitch of Lance’s usually deep voice. "You big stars need your sleep." she finished, adding fuel to the fire by running her finger tip along his neck. Lance was a patient man, it was one of his better qualities, but he wasn’t going to wait another minute. In one swift movement, he grabbed her and turned her face up on the couch next to him. Leaning over her he laughed to see the shocked expression on her face. Smiling mischievously, his eyes narrowed, he lowered his face, and began the slow torture of placing random, small kisses on her lips. She sighed and reached up to pull his head down, eager to deepen the kiss, but Lance had other ideas. "Payback.." he smiled, as he pinned both arms to her side, and continued to kiss her cheeks, neck, forhead, anything but her lips. Kristy was not happy, as Lance chuckled at her obvious dilemma. "What’s wrong?" he mocked confusion.

"Laaance." she whined.

"Yeeees ma’am?" his Southern drawl only made things worse for Kristy, as she laughed, amused at the situation of her making.

"You’re mean." she faked a frown and tried to hide her smile.

"Well, whatever do you mean?" he said, his eyes wide. "Do you want something?" kristy narrowed her eyes, instinctively licking her lips.

"Hmmm......well, I’m awfully tired.." Lance sighed dramatically, and giggled at the irony of the situation.

Kristy looked pleadingly at him. "I love you my Lance." she said softly.

Oh how the games did end. Her words melted every bit of reserve Lance had, and he became still, as her eyes reflected the sincerity of her words.

He leaned at once into her, kissing her lips with the power of a heart filled with love. Kristy, grateful for his understanding parted her lips, to feel his tongue softly glide back and forth from her lips to her teeth. The warm closeness this rendered left her breathless. All joking was over. The longing of his embrace grew stronger each second it continued. Kristy was becomming engulfed in his arms, his urgent kiss, and her own appetite for Lance’s touch.

"I love you....God Krissy." Lance managed before delving back into the deepness of the kiss.

The familiar shrill sound of a cell phone permeated the room. Lance, unwilling to end the embrace so quickly, slowly drew back, lessening the kiss, and finnally stopping it, stared into her eyes. "I don’t wanna get that. But I have to." Kristy nodded, in her mind relieved at the chance to compose herself. Lance had her whole being, and she knew it. She could barely believe the feelings that rushed through her while they kissed.

The face Lance wore after hanging up his phone was enough to make a clown depressed. "Krissy.....I have bad news." he sat down next to her. "I have to leave tomorrow morning. We start our tour in a week, but we need to do a promo first." He took her hand, and sighed, shaking his head. "This is...."

She stopped him. "I know......" she looked at him in a comforting way, assurring him that all would be well. "I should get my stuff ready."

"Me too." he said

Lance knew that saying goodbye to kristy would be the hardest part of loving her. He tried to prepare himself all day, but when the time came, and the two stood at the car, Hugh inside, he couldnt help letting the emotion get to him. "I’ll....." he started, shaking his head, trying not to let his eyes well up with tears. Kristy grabbed him and held him there, steadying him, and speaking into his ear. "Lance, I love you so much. I’ll never be more than a phone call away. I love you." she sniffeled, feeling the tears begin to flow. Holding her pressed tightly against him, her head on his shoulder, Lance spoke what he knew to be the last words they would exchange in person for too long. "Krissy, please don’t lose patience with me while I’m on the road..............I love you.....you can’t even understand......I need you so much........I’ll need you, then more than ever .......please don’t lose faith in me. You can’t leave me" Kristy took in the meaning of his words. She could only imagine how many relationships had ended before they began for this man, simply because the girl had not cared enough to stick it through.

"Lance, I’ll be there. You call me, I’ll be there. I love you no matter where you are.....with me or not.....I’ve never given up on anybody.....and I’ll be damned if I would give up on the best thing that’s ever happened to me." Her words were deliberate and serious, and Lance found them to be such an unexpected comfort, that he kissed her with much fervor, there, on the sidewalk, with Hugh waiting patiently inside the car. Their tears intermingled, and Lance wiped them from her face. "I love you."

Kristy forced a smile. "For me to say I loved you would only be the begining." she said. All too soon, the car was pulling away, with Kristy inside, while Lance stood alone, praying for the day to come quickly when he could touch her again.

Chapter 13
Imagine Me Here

Being apart from Lance was making Kristy want him more than she could have imagined. It was crazy how he entered every thought.........played an active role in every dream. She was going to lose it if she didn’t see him soon.

She lay with her back on the bed, staring at the ceiling, recounting the meeting of their lips, his hands on her, his breath on her......she felt electric.

This is the same as it was every day. This time, however, the phone rang, and Kris’s thoughts were shifted back to reality.

"Hello?" she said, lazily

"If you could only imagine how much I want you right now."

Lance’s voice poured it’s way through the receiver and into her heart.

Kristy smiled and sighed so heavily it was as if the whole world had been lifted from her shoulders.

"I am going insane. I am going absolutley insane." she said. It was the only thing she could say. Lance understood.

"I feel like If I don’t see you, touch you, I’ll explode Krissy. You have to help me out here."

"Well, I would gladly irradicate that problem if I could." she assured him.

"Hell, I’d hold you so tight they’d have to name a 6th member of NSYNC."

Lance smiled widely. "Oh sweetheart, you holding me.......Describe it."

He sat down on the sofa.

"That’s too easy.." she began. "I wanna be so close that we share the same breaths. I wanna breath you in, hold you there......."

"God Krissy...." Lance interrupted, closing his eyes, feeling her..... "We...get together ...we have to." he tried to speak, but his throat tightened. He gathered his thoughts. "What’s your schedule like?"

"MY schedule!" Kristy laughed "It’s your schedule that we need to think about. What’s your schedule like?"

He stopped and thought. "Well, I have 4 days next month..........kind of a long weekend....But wait, first let me get this out.........Last time i talked to you, I told you I had an idea....but I wouldn’t say what...remember? Well, I was thinkin about having you open for us when we go tour in 2 months.........."

There was dead silence on the other end.

"Krissy, honey?"

"For..For you guys?" she studdered

"Ya...for us guys! What do you think?" he asked excitedly

"Oh My God.....me?!" she laughed excitedly

"I need you with me krissy.....I haven’t been able to breath without you. And it’s the perfect way to get that angel voice out there. The guys love the idea." He chuckled, "Especially Joey."

She didn’t have to think. "Yes...." she said "Yes."

Lance was relieved. "I can’t believe you’re gonna be with me. I can’t believe I’m gonna have you with me." he shook his head. "Kriss, I’m never gonna let you go.....It’ll be obnoxious......I’ll be ridiculous, you know that right?"

"I wouldn’t want it any other way." she smiled

"Then it’s settled.....You’ll do it?"

"I love you Lance." was her answer

"Angel,.....When I get my hands on you..I’m gonna...."

"Surprise me." she said

Chapter 14
Reunion of Hearts

Neither Lance nor Kristy were willing to wait 2 months to see eachother. Lance’s 4 day weekend, they decided, would be the only near opportunity.

It was his idea for Kristy to fly out to Florida. She was filled thoughts about what it would be like to see him again. The two had shared so much so quickly and then parted, having been torn away from eachother by Lance’s merciless schedule. Now they would have 4 days together, in one of the most beautiful places she could imagine. Her soul was flying.

The flight was much too long. Three hours seemed like 3 years, and Kristy fidgeted constantly. She laughed to see that she was twiddling her thumbs. "Sharon would kill me." she said, and stopped herself. Thoughts filled her head...good thoughts.....not so good thoughts....what if he was dissapointed? She looked at what she was wearing for the 5th time that day. A sun dress. It was pretty enough. It was lavender with little yellow flowers. The straps were thin, and the whole dress was light and airy. It complimented Kristy. Her Chestnut brown hair was down, and the natural red of her lighlights shone with the sun. Kristy’s green eyes sparkled at the thought seeing Lance again.

The pilot came over the intercom, annoucnig their arrival. "Orlando is right below us folks......". The plane came to a decent, and Kristy stood up to straighten her dress. She ran her fingers through her hair, and took a few deep breaths.

Lance waited with Lonnie at the arrival doors, biting his nails. "What if somethin happened and she couldn’t come?" he thought "What’s takin so long?"

Before he could realize what was happening, Lonnie had him by the arm and was dragging him toward the exit of the airport. "What the hell is it?" Lance said, as he caught his breath and stared up at Lonnie, scrunging his eyes in the sun’s glare.

‘Didn’t you see those 3 girls eyeing you up?" Lonnie scolded

"I., No...I didn’t see anything."

"Well, damn, they were lookin like they was bout ready to pounce. Where’s your head man?"

"I.....We have to go back in there Lonnie! She’ll think I didn’t show!"

"Well I ‘m gonna check first and then we’ll go." Lonnie said. Lance knew it would be impossible to force past Lonnie, so he nodded his head and waited.

Kristy walked into the open room where Lance should have been. She looked in every direction. She thought he might be in some sort of disguise, but no one looked even remotely like him. "He didn’t come...." the thought tortured her. Finally she saw a very large figure standing in the distant exit door, peering in. "Lonnie!" she realized who he was.

Making her way quickly over to him, he squinted at her for a moment, and realizing who she was, smiled and pointed out the door. There, looking almost too perfect, under a palm tree stood Lance. He was looking up at the sky, probably a landing plane, and she was taken aback by how amazing he looked. He was truly a handsome man, having a coolness about him that made her feel week. Lonnie looked at her. "You goin out there or what? He’s gonna drive me nuts! "

She smiled up at him, and headed for Lance.

Lance didn’t see her, as he stood, still biting his nails, squinting upward. She walked up behind him. "You know, your hands are so beautiful, you shouldn’t do that..." she scolded.

Lance turned around to the warmest smile he’d ever seen. He hadn’t pictured that she would look so beautiful. She was an angel. He couldn’t speak. Kristy didn’t know what to make of his reaction.

"Lance?" she said questioningly

His face lit up. "Oh my God Kris......my God....." he had her in seconds, wrapped in the tightest embrace, her arms grasping him, taking in the smell of his colgne enveloping her senses. Lance hated the thought of loosening his grip, but the thought of what would happen once he did made up his mind. He looked at her, remembering the feel of her lips, and the smell of her hair. "Krissy it was hell that I couldn’t do this....." and he bent to take her in a kiss that could have ignited a fire. His lips worked overtime, madly seeking to make up for lost moments, for desperate need. Kristy was captured. The kiss was more than she could handle reservedly, but there was no point in holding back now....after nothing for so long, and the pain of their seperation, she went along dizzily for the ride, as his kisses covered every inch of her mouth, and his arms gripped her tightly. She moved her hand from his shoulder to the back of his head, deepining the kiss. It was as if he would swallow her whole. Kristy found herself melting under the fire, and held his arm for support.

The embrace was reluctantly broken with the sound of Lonnie’s throat clearing. Lance never turned his head from Krissy. He breathed heavily, overcome by his own passion for her. "Krissy, let’s go."

She nodded her head in agreement, and they ran back to the car.

Chapter 15
The Garden

"Lon, you drive okay..." Lance said as he pulled Kristy in the back seat with him. Holding her in his lap they continued their kiss, unending, unbreaking. Lance’s tongue brushed hers. Kristy held tightly to the shoulders of his shirt, her fingers turning white. She knew she’d have to come up for air sometime. Finally, with reluctant effort, she pulled back slightly to look at the face that held her heart captive. "I don’t know what to say to you." she whispered.

Lance shook his head.

"Dont’ say anything.....just let me touch you," his voice was raspy.

He tucked his head into her neck, kissing her. Kristy closed her eyes, and took in a breath, enjoying every moment. His spiked hair tickled her face, and she giggled. Lance looked up smiling. "And WHAT is so funny?"

"You tickled!...." she giggled somemore.

"Ooooh, you’re ticklish huh?" he grinned roguishly.

Krissy stopped smiling. "Oh no.....no, Lance....No!" It was too late, he was tickling her with much fervor. Between breathless giggles, she managed to stop him, grabbing his hands with hers and pulling his arms straight to his side. Now, she was flat on her back, Lance on top of her. "You DO realize how much I’m likin it here?" Lance’s face was bright red, his breaths hot on her face,

Kristy felt Lance’s whole body pressed against hers, the muscles of his chest, and his legs, which held her to the seat. Chills overtook her. She was spellbound. "I.....I could probably guess." she smiled.

"Kris......." Lance took his one hand from hers, running it up the side of her arm, and reaching behind for her face, "I love you Angel."

The car came to a stop, and Lonnie cleared his throat again. "Yep, we know...." Lance got up and helped Kristy. She weekly exited the car, led by Lance’s hand to the front door of his beautiful home. He opened it, and stepped aside. "Welcome..." he smiled, directing her inside.

The house was tasteful and well furnished. "My sister helped with the decor...." he smirked. "I probably would have screwed it up really bad."

"It’s beautiful Lance......it really is."

His turned to Kristy. "Yea...It’s breathtaking." His eyes never left her. She blushed.

"Come with me Krissy." He took her straight through the house, to the back. "Close your eyes." he beamed.

"Ooookay..." she giggled in anticipation. Lance opened the doors that led to his patio. He stepped out and pulled her with him. "Be careful babe there’s 2 steps here."

"Where?, How will I know when I get to them?" Lance smiled, I have a better idea. With that, he swooped her up in his arms, and carried her down the steps. "Lance!" she squeeled. "Don’t drop me!"

"Oooh now honey do you think I’d let that happen?" he said, taking advantage of her closed eyes to place a kiss on her lips. She returned the favor, while touching his face.

"Lance......kissing you....I can think of few other things I enjoy more.....but, can I get down now?" she laughed

"Oh!" he laughed "Sorry.....one sec....almost." He walked a bit more with her and gently set her down. "E hem...open em..." he smiled eagerly.

There she stood, in a garden of roses, on all sides, in every color.

"Ooooh Lance.." she gasped "It’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen."

"I told them to bloom in time for your arrival." he said, placing his arms around her from the back. "And I thought they would be the most wondeful sight in my garden. Until i brought YOU here, and now, you’re putting them all to shame." he whispered into her ear, with that voice that melted her. Reaching back, she placed her hands behind his neck, and brought his face to hers. He smiled in wonder at this woman, so tender, who evoked such feelings from him.

"Lance, I have 3 months worth of no you to make up for. Don’t make me beg." she said, softly. He went for the cheek this time, then her ear, and forhead. Finally, she turned her head to meet his lips with hers. Lance hardly put up a fight, moving with the soft motions of her kiss.

She pulled away, and sat down in the fragrant grass, tugging him down next to her. He shook his head in wonder "God Krissy, you make me crazy.. I feel like Joey...." he laughed. "All I can think about is you........just loving you......bein here with you, touching you, kissing you, it’s more than I ever expected."

Kristy knew the feeling well. "Lance all the time we were apart, I must have said your name 500 times a day. I don’t know how Sharon could stand me!" she said, laughing at herself. "It’s funny how I would have done anything just to have you with me for a second. Now here you are. I can’t get enough of you Lance. And this from the one Sharon says should have been a nun!" she kidded. His expression was so soft, his eyes smiling, leaning on one arm next to her, he pulled her to him. She lay in his arms, looking quite helplessly up at him. "Tell me everything that’s in your heart Angel. Tell me what you can’t stand. Tell me what you can’t live without......everything." She noticed the more comfortable he became with her, the more his Southern accent became aparant. It was one of her favorite things about him.
"Well, I can’t stand dreaming that I’m kissing you, and then waking up to find my lips all lonely." she smiled. Lance frowned, "I had that problem too." he said She continued "I can’t live without the air I breath, the sun,..... and the internet." she said, evoking uproarious laughter from Lance. "Oh, and your smile...." she went on.."Besides your accent.....it’s my favorite thing about you."

"So, you ‘lock’ ma accent?" he purposely exagerated his drawl.

"It’s too sexy....It makes me nuts!" she admitted

"So you don’t think I sound like a red neck?" he laughed

"Lance....lose that accent and I’ll kick your ass." she warned

Lance widened his eyes. "Sooo, you DO have a naughty side.’ he smiled, laying the accent on thick.

Licking her lips instinctively, she grasped his collar and pulled his head down level with hers. "With you........I have a feeling I’ll be discovering alot of sides to me I never knew were there." In her voice was a sultry quality she’d not had before. Lance was caught off guard. He felt his body heat rising, and his breaths became a bit labored, as he’d forgotten to breath for a moment.

"Are you okay..?" she looked at him, her voice back to normal

"I.....Ya, Krissy,....You just, sounded so...."

She smiled, "I didn’t mean to scare you."

Lance raised his eyebrows. "Oh no! No....I wasn’t....you just sounded...Man Kris, you’re really...., like that day in the studio.....you sang, and it sounded...." He laughed and stumbled for words. "You just have this....." Kristy looked at him with a patient smile. Lance knew there was only one way to say it.

"Daaaamn, girl, you’re just sexy. You don’t even realize, but you drive me crazy. I can’t think around you."

"Thinking is overrated. Ask me.....I’ve been doin it my whole life." Kristy said

"There are some things you don’t have to think about......just feel."

Lance shook his head. ‘Oh Kris..you don’t know what you’re tellin me..." Before he could go on, Kristy had engulfed him in a kiss so penetrating that he lost all other thoughts. This girl, more simple and extraordinary than any he’d ever met, had taken his heart hostage.
