Once Upon A Time

The loud roar of a motorcycle woke Carrie with a start.  She cursed lightly and then yawned and stretched and looked at the clock.  It was 8 in the morning.  She rolled over and watched Chris as he slept.  She loved to watch him sleep.  He was so peaceful.  She could tell he was dreaming.  Every now and then he'd let out a little moan.  From the end of the bed Busta let out a quiet little yip and his back legs twitched.

Carrie's mind began to drift back to the day Joey had introduced her to Chris.  Joey and Carrie had been friends since preschool.  After her breakup with Michael, Joey was convinced that she would never have to go through that much pain again.  She needed someone in her life at that time and he knew the perfect someone.  He had called Carrie and asked her to come over and help him work on a song he was writing.  He claimed to be having a case of writer's block.  When she pulled up she had noticed an unfamiliar car in the drive.  She walked in and there were Chris and Joey playing a game of pool.

"Hey!  I'd like to introduce you to my friend, Chris.  Chris, this is Carrie.  She's the one I've been telling you about."  Joey winked at Chris.

"Nice to meet you, Chris."  He was very handsome and his smile was entrancing.

"Nice to meet you." he replied and then to Joey he said, "Your description didn't do any justice to the real thing."  He looked at her and saw her crimson face and smiled.

"Well, I have to go and pick up the pizza." said Joey.  "You two stay here."  With that he flashed Chris a huge smile and Chris winked.  Carrie realized what Joey was doing.

"You didn't invite me over to help you on that song, did you?"  Joey just smiled and grabbed his keys and walked out the door.

Carrie and Chris really hit it off that night.  They went out every night that week.  That was a year ago.

Carrie shook Chris gently.  He stirred and grumbled, "Five more minutes."

Carrie brushed his lips gently with her own.  Chris opened his eyes and grinned.  "Good morning."

Carrie kissed him again more passionately this time.  Chris placed his hand at the back of ther head.  She tasted so good to him and he just couldn't get enough.  He rolled over on top of her and she could feel his erection under his boxers.  She broke the kiss and slid her hands down his sides into his boxers.  She grasped him and her thumb brushed against the tip of his shaft.  He quivered and kissed her again.  He slid one hand under her shirt and caressed her breast while the other made its way into her panties.  He felt her wetness and his finger slid into her opening.  She closed her eyes and moaned.  He began to slide his finger in and out slowly at first and then more rapidly as she tightened her grip around his penis.  He stopped and took her panties off.  She peeled his boxers off of him.  He plunged inside her and groaned loudly.  Their hips rocked in perfect motion together.  He leaned down and licked her breast.  She arched her back under him.  Her hands found their way to his back and she clawed at him.  He pumped harder and faster and stiffened as he reached his climax with a loud grunt.

Carrie frowned.  "Is it all over now?"

"Not yet."  he said with a sly smile.

His tongue slid down her stomach and slithered its way down to her clit.  He began to devour her and her body trembled with ecstasy.  Just at she reached climax Busta let out a loud bark and she and Chris laughed.

Chris looked at the clock.  "Oh shit!  I'm gonna be late."  He gave her a quick kiss and jumped into the shower.

Carrie got up, put on her robe and went into the kitchen.  Along the way she picked up Busta's food and water bowls.  Busta heard the sound of the food bag being opened and came scurrying into the kitchen slipping on the linoleum floor.  Carrie laughed at him.  He jumped up and put his feet on the cabinet doors barking for her to hurry the process.  She placed the bowls back on the floor where they belong and Busta happily lapped up his breakfast.  Carrie pulled two pieces of bread out of the bread box and started fixing some toast for Chris and herself.  She was staring out the window when the shrill ring of the phone brought her back to reality.

"Hello."  She sid into the receiver.

"Hey there sexy!"

"Hi, Joey!  What's up?"

"I wanted to invite you and Chris to eat lunch with me today."

Carrie thought for a moment. "Chris has some business to take care of today for his new fall line for Fuman but I'm free."

"Great.  Meet me at the Hard Rock at 1:00, OK?"

"Sure."  And with that she hung up.

The toast popped up out of the toaster and she buttered the slices and placed them on plates that she hadn't remembered setting out on the table.  She walked back to the bedroom just as Chris was stepping out of the shower.  He dried himself and wrapped the towel around his waist.

"Damn." Carrie thought to herself.  Her eyes scanned his body as he stood there preparing for the day.

"And may I ask what you're lookin at?"  Chris said staring at her in the mirror.

"Huh?"  Carrie said not realizing he had seen her eyes as they caressed his body from across the room.

"You know what I'm talking about."  Slowly he approached her and smiled an evil smile that made her heart race.  He grabbed her waist and pulled her close to him.  She rubbed his bard back as he kissed her neck.

"You're going to be late."  She managed to breath out.

"I know."

"Then you need to stop."

He looked down at her.  "I just want you to have a little taste of what I have planned for you later tonight."  Carrie smiled and kissed him on the cheek.

Joey had been waiting for 15 minutes when Carrie finally got there.  "What took you so long?"

"Busta pissed on the floor again."

"When is that dumb dog going to be trained?"

"Hopefully before I have to kill his ass."

They ordered and had light conversation.  Joey had always known how to make Carrie laugh.  She loved to see his face when she laughed at one of his jokes or something he said or did to amuse her.  Suddenely the door to the cafe opened and in walked Chris with a woman Carrie knew from the Fuman team as Danielle.

"Business luncheon."  Carrie thought.

She turned and looked at Joey and noticed that he too was trying to retionalize them being there together.

"Joey, I'm gonna to over and say hi to them and see what his plans are for the rest of the day."  Joey nodded.

Carrie got up and made her way throught the crowd towards Chris's table.  Chris and Danielle had sat in a secluded booth in the corner of the restaurant.  As Carrie turned the corner she saw Chris and Danielle sitting at a booth kissing.  Carrie stopped as all the air in her body seemed like it was sucked out of her at that moment.  Joey had been trailing behind her and had almost run into her.

"What'd you stop for?  I almost..."  His voice trailed off as his eyes fell on Chris and Danielle.

Carrie gasped. "Oh my God."

The tears had already started to flow.  Joey felt a pain hit him in the bottom of his stomach and thought he was going to be sick.  Carrie turned to run and bumped into a waitress who dropped the tray of food she was carrying.  Chris and Danielle broke their kiss long enough to see what the commotion was about.  Carrie apologized to the waitress and then looked back at Chris.  He stood up and called to her. "Carrie wait!"

She ran out of the restaurant.  Joey stood there staring at Chris.

"Joey, I'm sorry but it's not what it looks like.  Honestly!"  Joey frowned at him.

"What's your explanation then?  You were giving her mouth to mouth because she had gotten choked?  You've really fucked up this time.  I hope you're happy."

Joey turned and stormed out calling after Carrie.  He found her in her car with the music turned up all the way, crying.  He tried the door but it was locked.

"Carrie, let me in."  She shook her head.  "Carrie, let me in or I'll bust the window and you know I will."

Slowly Carrie hit the button to unlock the doors.  Joey got into the car and turned the radio off.

"Are you OK?"  Carrie just sat there.  She didn't know how to react.

Chris and Danielle came out of the restaurant and Chrsi came towards the car.  Carrie closed her eyes  "Please tell me this isn't happening, Joey."

"I wish I could."

Joey could see a tear slip from Carrie's tightly closed eyes.  To see her in this much pain made him feel sick.

Chris knicked on Carrie's window.  She opened her eyes and sighed deeply before looking at him.  When their eyes met, anger grew inside her like a wild fire.  She jerked the door open hitting Chris in the side.  He stumbled backwards as Carrie jumped out of the car.  Joey yelled for her to stop.  She slapped Chris's face and her hand left a large red print across his cheek.

"How could you?  I just don't understand."

"I didn't mean for it to happen, Carrie."

"What, Chris?  Did your tongue just gall into her mouth?"  Suddenly Carrie directed her attention toward Danielle.  "And you..."  She started at Danielle but Joey grabbed her.

"Joey for the love of you body let me go."

"No, Carrie.  I'm not going to let you do this."

He turned her around to face him.  She looked into his chocolate eyes and for the first time noticed tears.

"Joey are you crying?"  She heard her voice crack as a sob heaved its way up her throat.

It began to drizzle.  Chris put his hand on Carrie's shoulder.  "Let's all get out of the rain before it starts to pour."

Carrie looked at him.  He and Danielle stood together holding hands.  "I hope you two are happy with one another."  She handed the keys to her car to Danielle.  "I guess these belong to you now."  She and Joey walked to Joey's car and left Chris and Damielle standing in the rain.

"Damn it." Carrie said.

"I'm sorry this happened, Carrie."

"Don't worry about it.  I'll be OK."  A laugh escaped from her lips.

Joey look over at her and smiled.  "What's funny?"

"I don't have to clean up after that damn dog anymore."

Joey laughed at her humor and placed his hand on her knee.  She glanced at him.  He was singing slong to the radio.  She examined his face.  His eyes.  His hair.  His lips.  She shuddered.

"Are you cold?"  Joey asked.

"Um... yeah a little."  Carrie felt embarrassed at the way she was feeling but she couldn't help thinking, "How does her feel about me?'

JC and Christina offered to let Carrie stay with them.  Carrie and Crhistina went to Chris's apartment to get all of CArrie's things.  Christina, Joey and CArrie had all grown up together.  They had always been friends.  Christina and Joey ahd once tried a relationship but thisgs didn't work out.  That is when Christina met JC.  They were a perfect pair.

Christina stuck her head out of the bedroom that Carrie and Chris had once shared.  "Is there anything else you want to get?  This box is getting full."

"I think this will do."

"Well I'm ready when you are."

"Let's go."  carrie patted Busta on the head ans walked out the door.

They drove to the apartment complex that Christina and JC lived in.  They carried a few boxes with them into the elevator.  Christina looked at Carrie sympathetically.  "I'm sorry this had to happen to you."

"Christina, don't worry about it.  I'm fine, really.  I just hope that Joey and Danielle are happy together."

"Carrie, why did you say Joey and Danielle?"

"Did I?"

Christina smiled.  "Yes you did.  How do you feel about Joey?"

"Christins, you know how I feel about Joey.  We've been friends forever and I love him like a brother..."

Christina stopped her. "I don't think so.  I think there's more to it.  I've seen how you look at him.  You've got the hots for him."

"You don't know what you're talking about.  I don't like Joey in that way."  She turned her head to avoid Christina's stare.

"Carrie I've know YOU forever and I know when you like someone."

Carrie started to protest but Christins was right.  She did like Joey.  Carrie smiled at Christina.  "I just don't understand how you do that.  You can get me to confess to anything."

The lelvator stopped and the doors slid open.  Joey was standing there waiting to go down to the lobby.

"Do you need help with your stuff?"  he asked.  Carrie smiled and nodded at him.  He stepped onto the elevator.  Christina took the box from Carrie's hands and started off down the hall.  She turned for a moment and smiled at them  Joey looked at her with confusion.  "What's she smiling about?"

"Oh , nothing."

The doors slid closed and the elevator began its descent.  Carrie felt herself begin to sweat.  "I've know him my entire life.  Why am I so nervous?"  She looked at him and noticed that he was staring at her.  She managed to smile at him and he smiled back at her, he leaned forward and hit the elevator stop button.

"What are you doing?"  Carrie asked feeling her heart begin to flutter.

"I need to talk to you."

"and it's so urgent that you have to stop the ele...."

He silenced her by placing his finger over her lips.  He backed her up against the wall and lightly bruched her lips with his tongue.

"Joey, what are you doing?"

"Do you want me to stop?"

"No."

He ran his hands up her thighs and into her shirt.  He began to caress her breasts as he kissed her neck.  She ran her hands across his back.

"Carrie."

"Hmmm?"

"I want you."

He kissed her and she parted her lips to welcome his tongue.  He slid his thumbs into the waist line of her pants and pulled them down.  She kicked them to the side as she fumbled with his zipper.  With a determined tug the zipper telented and gave way to his erection.  She began to massage his penis slowly .  Joey moaned.

"I want to tast you."  He groaned.

He got on his knees and looked up at her.

"Oh God, Joey. Don't tease."

He smiled at her.  His tongue made a trail of wetness from her belly to her clit.  He began to devour her clit hungrily.  She ran her fingers through his hair.  He smiled and sucked more vigorously.

"Joey..."

Carrie climaxed with a quiver.  Joey stood up and took her mouth.  He lifted her up onto his erection.  Carrie gasped at his size.

"You Ok?" he asked.

"I'm fine."  She whispered.

He grinded his hips into her and she moved her hips along with the rhythm.

"Carrie, you feel so good.  I've wanted you for so long."

They moaned and grunted together until Joey tensed and Carrie flet him release in her.  Joey kissed her again and she smiled.  "We're gonna have to do that again."  Joey laughed.  They dressed and started the elevator again.

They started taking boxes out of the car.  Carrie suddenly stopped and look at Joey.

"What's wrong?"  He asked.

She looked down at the ground.  "Why did we just do that?"

Joey walkted over to her and took her chin in his hands and lifted her face.  "Do you feel like it w2as a mistake?"

"No.  I just don't know where it goes from here.  I mean, what's next?"

Joey got down on one knee and declared in a very loud, southern accent, "Carrie, I lvoe you and I wnet to know if you'll be my girlfriend."

Carrie laughed at him. "Joey, people are staring at you."

He frowned.  "I'm being serious."

Carrie stopped laughing and watched his face.  "You are serious, aren't you?"  She smiled at him.

"Carrie, I love you.  I have loved you from the very beginning.  I want to make this right.  I want you to be happy and I want to be the one to make you happy."

"I wish you had told me this sooner.  I love you too, Joey.  I always have."

Joey stood up and took her face in his hands.  He kissed her and she hugged him tightly.

"Is this where the narrator say, 'and they lived happily ever after'?"  Carrie said with a smirk.

"Grab some boxes smart ass."  Joey said and kissed the tip of her nose.

He watched her grab a box and start back up to the room and he thought to himself,

"This isn't happily ever after... it's once upon a time."
