| Open me Kerri raised her eyebrow in question as she read the note attached to the gold foil package. Flipping it over, she checked for further instructions, but found nothing. Slowly she lifted the lid of the box and peeled away the tissure paper to reveal the prize inside. Gingerly, she lifted the silky gown from the box, another card fluttering to the floor. Kerri bent down and retrieved it, reading the message it held. Wear me Kerri looked around the foyer and carefully slipped out of her white lab coat. Quickly, she shed her cumbersome business attire and slid the gown over her head. She trembled as the cool fabric fluttered across her skin. Leaving her discarded garments on the hardwood floor, she continued up the staircase toward the master bedroom. At the head of the stairs, she paused. On the hall table lay a silver serving dish with a domed lid. In front of the bowl sat a tented white card. Drawing closer, she leaned forward to read the scripted instructions. Eat me Kerri lifted the lid and smiled to find the bowl filled with chocolate dipped strawberries. This was so typical of him, to remember that these were her favorite. Not wanting to disobey, she raised a plump berry to her lips and bit into it. Replacing the lid, she continued down the hall. |
