These sites below mean alot to me because I too, have been plagiarized and for lack of a better phrase, it flat out sucks. I had been writing and posting my short stories and visuals for less than a year when I had my first experience with this.
Apparantly, someone out there was a fan of my work. So much of a fan, that in fact, she wanted to know what it felt like to be me. A "writer" by the name of Caramel was reposting my work on other yahoo groups, having the nerve to copyright it as her own. Luckily one of my readers recognized some of what she was sending and informed me of what was happening.
Sites and individuals like the ones below banded together and she was shut down in a matter of days. Though three of my stories were stolen, people like these prevented her from ever doing it again. |
