Chapter 1:  Welcome to the Blue Room Part 4

Bianca couldn't ask for a better friend than Tony.  He was smart, talented, resourceful, and always there when she needed him to be.

They met back in Michigan when she was 13 and he 17 in All City Choir.

"You did amaszing tonight Tony" Exclaimed Bianca as she and Tony walked home.  "What are you singing next weekend?"

Tony opened the front door of their building.  "It depends on my mood.  I could do 'So Tired' or, if I'm really feeling adventurous, I could sing one of yours."

"Tony?"

He cut her off "B, you never sing in public.  You have this amazing talent and then you are a damn good songwriter.  What is the point of writing what no one will ever hear?"

They stepped into the elevator.  Bianca pressed the button for the 5th floor.  "I don't write songs for me to sing, I write songs to clear my head. I don't want to bare my soul to the world, Tony.  We have been through this countless times.  It's all so rehearsed, I'm not singing.  So there."

The elevator doors opened and they walked down the hall to their apartment.  "Fine Bianca, do what you want."

"Tony, don't be mad?  Please?"

"I'm not mad; I just would like the world to know what I already know."

"And what is that?"  she asked

"That you are this musically gifted, and vocally talented."

Bianca grinned and kissed his cheek.  "You could win all the ladies with lines like that."  Then she unlocked the door and entered her apartment.  It was a small 2 bedroom apartment, it had leaky pipes and crappy views, but it was their home.  Their neighbor Ms Jameson was sitting on the couch watching television.

"How was work?"  asked Ms. Jameson

"Same ol', same ol'"  Said Tony while putting down his guitar case.

"How was my man tonight?"  Bianca asked.

"Energetic as always."  she replied.  "He kept on asking for you."

Bianca opened her bedroom door and gazed at the man in her life sleeping peacefully on the bed.  He was her angel, her life.  Her son Xavier.

"My baby."  she whispered.  Xavier was two years old and the first priority in Bianca's life.  She sat next to him and kissed his cheek.

Xavier was more important to her than anything.  He was all she had.  When she was pregnant with him, she was with Ian.  They had been together for 4 years.  Things for Bianca and Ian were going perfect until Ian got laid off of his job.  He fell into a deep depression, turning to alcohol to numb his paini.  It seemed that his drinking only made thigns worse.  He would become enraged, and eventually abusive.  Bianca blamed it on herself.  At that time Ian was the closest thing to family she had.  Her mother died when she was 18 and her father died when she was 7.

When she told Ian she was pregnant, he denied that he was the father.  he accused her of sleeping around.  At one point he even claimed that the baby was Tony's and threw her out of their apartment.  Tony and his family took her in.  It was the happiest she had been in a long time.  Bianca went into labor two weeks early; Tony didn't leave her side for more than 10 minutes the whole time she was there.

The day before she was supposed to be let out of the hospital she saw a news report of a drunken driving accident, a head on collison.

Ian was the victim.  Seeing as how a fresh start was what they needed Bainca and Tony (with some help from his parents) relocated to Manhattan.  Now as roommates they're raising Xavier and living from paycheck to payckeck.  As happy as they are now, Bianca is still haunted by her past at times.
