| Chapter Seven |
| "...My first taste of love oh bittersweet. Green on the vine. Like strawberry wine..." No one said anything at dinner, Shaye had a homemade pie put up for Randy and Justin. "What is going on with you two?" Isabella broke the silence. "Scuse me," Shaye said getting up, "No, Shaye, sit down Honey, what happened today?" "Daddy talked to Justin, and now, I CAN'T see him anymore," "John," Isabella said looking at her husband. "He's bad news! He said he loved her," "HE DOES LOVE ME! AND I LOVE HIM!" "Your too young for love!" Johnny yelled. "NO I'M NOT! I'M NOT A CHILD ANYMORE!" "Okay, calm down both of you, Johnny, why did you do that?" "Because, she deserves better! He's a spoiled city kid, that wants her only for sex!" "Do you know that for sure?" "NO! BECAUSE HE CAN'T KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT!" Shaye yelled. "Shaye, why don't you go take some pie to Randy and Justin, and talk to him," "Thanks Momma, thanks for understanding," "Go on," "YOU stay put," Isabella said pulling Johnny back down in his chair. "How could ya do that to her? Ya know they love each other!" "I wish everyone would stop using that word! They aren't in love, it's a little Summer romance, they will realize they don't love each other," "Johnny, me and you were just 13 and 17 when we got married, and look, 17 years later, we're still here, together. What started out as a little Summer romance, bloomed into a fantastic marriage, what makes you think the same won't happen with them," "Isabella, it was different then, now, things have changed," "But we're still in love, right?" "Yes, more than ever," "Okay, leave her alone," Johnny sighed and finished his supper. Shaye walked over to Randy' house with the pie in her hands, she knocked lightly on the door, Randy answered, "Hi Randy, I brought ya'll some of my apple pie," "Oh, thanks," "Is Justin here?" "Yeah, c'mon in," "Thanks," "JUSTIN! COME DOWN HERE SON!" Randy yelled up at Justin. Shaye kinda hid under the staircase, "What's up?" "Someone wants to see you," Randy cut him a piece of pie, "Who?" Shaye came out of the darkness, seeing Justin in a pair of shorts and no t-shirt, "Shaye?" "Hey," She smiled, Justin felt better already. "Well, I'm gonna go finish this upstairs," "Thanks Daddy," Justin smiled. Justin wrapped his arms around Shaye, "I brought some pie," "Really?" "Yeah, you want me to cut you a piece?" "I can do it I-" "No, no, let me," Shaye said grabbing the knife and a plate. "What are you doing here? Your Dad is gonna be ticked and he'd kill me," Justin said sitting down at the bar, "My Mom sent me over here, to talk to you," Shaye said sitting the plate in front of Justin. "What about?" Justin said, grabbing his fork. "Me and you, that's what," Shaye said grabbing a glass of milk for him, sitting it next to his plate. "What do you mean?" Justin bite into his pie, "OH MY GOSH!" "WHAT?!" Shaye jumped, "This pie is amazing!" "Oh, thanks," "I'm serious! My Granny makes the best pies there is, but this is a VERY close second," "Look, Justin, I think that me and you need to stop," Justin chocked on his milk, "What?" "Justin, do you wanna go the next however long, with my Dad on your case," "YES!" Justin hit his hands on the bar and stood up, "Shaye, I love you, and I will do everything to keep you!" "Justin, I can't stand my Daddy being on your case because of me, you don't deserve it!" "I don't get it! Don't you love me?!" "Yes, I love you, you know I do!" "Than why are you breaking my heart," "What do you mean, I'M breaking your heart? My heart is shattered! My Dad can't except that me and you love each other, your the only man that loves me!" "What do you mean?" "You are the only guy who cares a lick about me! My Dad can't stand me!" "What are you talking about?" "Forget it, enjoy your pie," With that Shaye walked out the door, and out of Justin's life...forever..... |
