Chapter 33
Mackenzie sighed when she got back to the breakfast hall and sat down with the guys. Cara had left, probably terrorizing an old lady or something, but it didn't matter, the damage had been done.
"So, that was the infamous Cara, huh." she said with a sigh,
"Yes, that was, she stormed out of here right after you left with Justin. Where is he?" JC asked
"He needed time alone." she said not knowing what to do.
"Don't worry about him, Kenz, he loves you and he's too smart to turn back to Cara." Lance said rubbing her back
"I liked that little show you put on over there, Zie Zie." Chris said raising his eyebrows up and down trying to lighten the mood.
"Oh, shush!" She said throwing a piece of bagel at him
"Oh Justin...Oh baby....I want you...oh baby come to the room..."Joey chimed in
"Shut up both of you!" Mackenzie said laughing, " I was just trying to get him away."
"Uh...huh...sure you were! We saw those condoms Justin bought last week!" JC added
"JC!" Mackenzie said as her face turned red, "Shut up! Justin wouldn't by condoms!"
"Ohh so they go for the natural feel...didn't your Daddy ever tell you about the dangers of sex?" Lance said
"Stop! You know we would never...not yet...is Justin thinking about that?...oh gosh...I wouldn't...did he say that?...it was just to get her away!" She said embarrassed that this conversation was taking place.
"We know, we know. We're just kidding." Joey said as he hugged her and the look of worry came back on her face.
"I know, I know...I just don't understand why she's here. Wasn't it enough for her when she hurt him the first time? When she used him for his money? Wasn't that enough?" She banged her head on the table as Joey rubbed her back.
"It's all going to work out fine, Kenzie." he said.
"Thanks guys, I think I'm going to go back to room. I'll talk to you all later."
Once she was in her room she threw herself on the bed and looked at a picture of herself and Justin together at her prom. "Out of all the girls in the world, he chose me to love." She sighed dreamily as there was a knock on the door. Figuring it was Justin she rushed to the door and opened it, surprised to see Cara standing there.
"What do you want?" Mackenzie said bitterly.
"I was looking for Justin." she said
"Well, he's not here and even if he was he would NEVER want to talk to you." she said closing the door but Cara put her foot in the way.
"We'll see about that...anyway I'm glad he's not here because it's you I wanted to see."
Mackenzie got curious, "Why?" she asked
"Because I wanted to see the girl Justin was going to hurt."
"What are you talking about?" Kenzie asked
"He'll end up hurting you, Mackenzie. He'll real you in until he confesses that he loves you and then push you away at the drop of a pin. I just want to see your pathetic face when he does."
"Shut up. Justin would never do that. You don't know what youre talking about."
"Oh, I don't? Justin never told you did he?" she asked
"Told me how you lied and cheated on him, yeah he did."
"That's what he told you? Poor fool." Cara said with a laugh.
"Just shut up and leave! I don't want to hear your stupid lies!" Mackenzie yelled afraid Cara might be telling the truth.
"Fine, I'll leave but just in case you're wondering I never cheated on him...I'll be anticipating the moment that he hurts you just the way he did to me." She moved away and Mackenzie slammed the door in furry. She wasn't going to run to Justin. She could handle this on her own. "Cara was simply lying to get me to believe her." Mackenzie said out loud to herself. "Justin said she would do this. He warned me...why am I believing her? Why am I questioning Justin....I love him...What if he's lying to me? What if he told me that because he knew Cara would tell me the truth?" All these questions were soaring through her head and she couldn't separate the truth from the lies. She need to talk to him. She needed Justin.
Chapter 33 Part 2
Justin sat alone on the balcony that was connected to his hotel room. He knew he should be with Mackenzie comforting her and explaining everything he was feeling but he couldn't. His mind was running in so many directions. Seeing Cara back again reminded him of all the pain that he went through and he had this terrible picture in his mind that she was going to turn Mackenzie against him. He made up his mind right then and there to keep Kenzie far away from her. He knew he never wanted to see Cara again but if he was so sure why was it so hard for him to see her again? Why is he sitting alone trying to get her off his mind? He loved Mackenzie. He told her that. She loved him...Cara couldn't destroy true love. But what if Cara really had changed and wanted another chance? Justin sighed and closed his eyes when he felt hands rub his shoulders.
"Kenzie?" he asked
"Shhhh..." she said
"I love you." he said as she continued to massage his shoulders.
"Shhhh..." she repeated
"But I want to talk to you..." he said keeping his eyes closed. "This feels so good...I want you to know that I'm never going back to Cara." the rubbing on his shoulders got harder, "Oww...I don't love her. Seeing her makes me sick...and then I have this terrible image of her trying to corrupt you or something." he said leaning into her touch.
"Shhh, baby." she said as she leaned over and began kissing his lips but to Justin something wasn't right about that 'baby'. It didn't sound right...almost as if it wasn't Kenzie saying it...the voice was too high. All these thoughts ran through his mind as he kissed the girl that was know sitting on his lap. He couldn't get over the sound of her voice though, something definitely wasn't right...the voice sounded like...like Cara's and not Mackenzie's. Justin quickly opened his eyes to see Cara kissing him. He pushed her off of him but the damage had been done. He looked inside the room to see Mackenzie running out of the room as fast as she could.
