| �Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllloooooo again everyone! Are you having fun yet?� the DJ asked the already screaming crowd �What? I can�t hear ya! I said are you having fun yet?� the crowd went wild and it took a good 30 seconds for them to calm down. �Alright, alright. Now I want you all to give a good New York welcome to someone Z100 has supported since the very beginning of her career. Her single �Let Me Be� came out today! Here to sing us two songs at her very first live performance�.KENZIE HOPE!� the crowd started screaming when Kenzie appeared onstage. It took Justin a minute to put two and two together and all the guys watched in anticipation to see the look on his face when he realized how stupid he was. Justin�s face quickly changed to a reddish-pink state with his mouth open wide. �That�s�that�s Kenzie Hope. I am so STUPID!� he said stuttering, �You guys knew who she was the whole time and didn�t tell me?� �I told you who she was, we figured you needed to find out by yourself.� Lance said laughing. �You guys! I can�t believe you didn�t tell me!� �Alright already shut up so we can hear her sing!� Joey protested. Justin shook his head and couldn�t believe how unbelievable stupid he was. �Hey everybody� Kenzie began, �As the DJ already said, my name is Kenzie and I�m going to slow things down about with the first song that going to sing to you tonight. It is a song that I actually wrote and it will be on my first self-titled album, which is coming out next month. This song is called �Then You Look At Me�.� Her hand was visibly shaking as the music started to play. She relaxed a bit when she saw Jenna cheering her on from the side of the stage. She almost laughed when she looked behind Jenna and saw a very red looking Justin watching her. She opened her mouth and let the music take over. The guys sat in the VIP section unable to speak. They were all in awe of what they were hearing. Not only could she sing but also she wrote this song herself and the passion that she had for music was glowing out of her. This was some serious talent that you didn�t see everyday. Her first song was over and the guys quickly went backstage to prepare for their own performance, which was pointless because all they did was listen to Kenzie sing. �Thanks everyone! Now the next song I�m going to sing is called �Let Me Be� it is current single that was just released today! Before I go I want to say thank you for being a great crowd and keep and eye out for my new album!� The music began again and Kenzie sang her heart out. Three minutes later the song was over and Kenzie was so excited to hear the screams of the audience and to see the smiles on their faces. It was so overwhelming to see all the people responding to her music, her voice, and her songs. Never did she think performing would feel this way but she was so happy. She had worked her butt off, but people liked her. They really liked her. She said �Thank you� one final time to the crowd and then turned away to walk off stage while waving. When she got backstage she saw Jenna cheering and screaming about how good she did but Kenzie couldn�t hold it in any longer. She began to cry. �Kenzie that was awesome! I told you, you would be gr.�what is wrong? Why are crying? Kenzie what�s the matter� Jenna asked pulling her to the side. �This sounds so stupid,� Kenzie began through the tears, �but I�m so happy. That was so cool being up in front of all those people! I�m such a dork!� she said half-laughing and half-crying. Lance was the first one to come up to congratulate her. �Kenzie you were awesome! I can�t even describe it! Wow.� He surprised her by pulling her in to hug her. �Thanks Lance. It was so cool being up there in with all those people screaming for me and � and I can�t wait to do it again!� Kenzie burst out while sniffling. Lance laughed as JC, Joey, and Chris came over and praised her for her performance. �Hey Kenz?� Chris said �Yes?� she asked �You�re coming with us tonight, right?� �Coming where?� �Ok good! We�ll pick ya up at your dressing room after the concert!� �Pick me up to go where?� she asked as he ran in the opposite direction. �I�ll see you later!� he screamed back to her. Kenzie seemed to be spinning in her own world at that moment. Not only had she just preformed her butt off, she impressed many people. To say that she was proud of herself would have been an understatement. A rush that she had never felt before came over her and it felt good. �Come on you have to shower and get ready to go out!� Jenna said interrupting her thoughts. Kenzie let Jenna drag her back to her dressing room not knowing that this decision could change her life. |
