| Once Mackenzie got outside she quickly pulled her winter hat on over her wavy hair and reached for a pair of sunglasses in the pocket of her coat. She knew she was making a big deal out of nothing because Mr. Martins would never like her performances no matter how good she was, but it still hurt. A few minutes later, Mackenzie's cell phone rang. "Jenna, I'll be back soon. I'm fine.� she said figuring it was Jenna calling. "Hey, Kenz. Sorry to disappoint you but it's not Jenna." a guy's voice said over the phone. "Chris?" she asked "Yup! How did ya know? We just saw you on TRL! You were awesome.� She smiled even though he couldn�t see her, �Thanks. Did you all watch it?� she asked �Yeah� there was some static on the phone, �Hold on Joey wants to talk to you.� �Hey baby.� Joey said in a deep voice "Hey, Joey. What's up?" she asked "Nothing really, we just wanted to call you. We have the day off but none of us feel like doing anything. How are you?" "I'm ok. I'm just going for a walk." A light clicked on in Joey's head. "Really? You and Justin think a like. Hold on a second." "Chris, Lance!" Joey said as he put his hand over the mouth piece on the phone, "Kenzie's out walking call Justin's cell and we will make them meet up." he removed his hand and began to talk, "Hey, sorry about that. So where are you? Is Jeremy with you?" he asked "I'm just around the corner from Times Square and no he's not with me. Why?" she asked curiously "I was just wondering. So...?" Joey said trying to think of something to say "Justin, where are you?" Lance asked him "I'm just walking around, Nick is walking right behind me. I'm fine. I've gotta clear my head so if you don't mind I'll see you guys in a few minutes." Justin waited by the crosswalk when he saw a truck zooming up the road toward him. �That truck is not going to stop.� He looked up and saw a girl walking across the street laughing and talking on a cell phone. �What?� Lance asked through the phone �Oh my god, it�s Mackenzie.� Justin said as he dropped his phone and started running toward her. |
