A webring, a webring... what the hell is a webring? For those of you who have absolutely no idea,a webring is a mechanism that allows websurfers to navigate related sites quickly and with ease. Webrings benefit both websurfers, who can locate similar sites of interest, and webmasters, whose pages get increased hits from surfers. Allow me to elaborate on that -- please read on.

As many of you may already know, most sites on the web already feature individual links to other sites. A webring basically links a large number of sites together, forming a continuous loop of banded sites. Because of this, websurfers can navigate the ring in several directions without encountering dead links and other pesky problems; visitors can travel through a ring in either direction (going to the next or previous site in the loop), jump to a random site, view a list of all the sites in the ring, and so on. Thus webrings make life a little easier for the average Joe surfing the web. Webmasters who join the ring can reap the benefits of webrings also; webrings give websites, obscure or not, free publicity. And who doesn't love that? Sites that are part of a webring tend to attract a greater number of visitors.

If you have a site of your own and would like to join Justin Timberlake @ *NSYNC Fandemonium, scroll down to the bottom of this page and complete the form below. Once you've filled in the necessary information, you will be given the customized HTML fragment to cut and paste onto your page. In order to become an official, functional member of the webring, you MUST have the correct HTML code somewhere on your site. Please note that you cannot simply cut and paste the code and leave it as is -- you must fill in the missing information (ring ID number, site URL, etc.) in order to prevent breaks in the ring. If I see that your HTML fragment is properly inserted into your page, your site will be moved from the queue (which is the ring's temporary collective...a waiting station, in a sense) to the actual ring. However, if you fail to use the correct code, your site will remain in the queue to rot and die. (Okay, so maybe it's not that extreme. But it still won't be a part of the webring.)

If inserted properly, the HTML fragment will give you a table like this:
Justin Timberlake's Fandemonium Webring
[ JoinOur HubRandom PrevNext ]

Pretty spiffy, eh? But remember, folks -- your table won't turn out exactly like this, because yours should have your info inserted properly in the appropriate spots.(If you check, the Skip Previous and Previous functions do not work on the table above because there is no site ID number listed in the HTML fragment. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT forget to add your site info to the code before you place it in your page; otherwise, your table won't work also.)

Now that I've said everything you need to hear, let's move on, shall we? If you would like to join Justin Timberlake @ *NSYNC Fandemonium, please fill in the form below. Remember, in order to join this ring, your site must have something to do with Justin Timberlake -- no exceptions! If you have any questions concerning the webring, you can contact me, Joy, at [email protected] under the subject "webring."
