Dreams Don’t Last Forever Chapter 8
“Justin, I have been planning all these for you,” Veronica paused for a second before she continued, “You should continue singing pop because you good at it and you can try some rock songs. Well you have lots of fans so I am sure they will support you anyway.”
Justin sat down and switched on the computer.
“I can quit my job and tour with you.” Veronica said, “No! I can be your manager. You need a good manager so you can trust me with that.” She continued without realizing that Justin wasn’t listening to her.
Justin log on to his yahoo account. Just when he was about to check his mails, he saw something blinking at the bottom of his taskbar. It was his ICQ. “Wonder who is online too?” he thought.
He clicked the ICQ icon. It was babyjen, one of his online buddies. Justin was using the nickname, blue_Tim. No one from his contact list knew that blue_Tim was actually Justin Timberlake from Nsync.
“Hello babyjen! How’ve you been?” :)
He typed the message and clicked send.
After a while, he received the replied.
“HEY! Blue_Tim!!! I doing fine. Just kinda busy lately. So how is your work?”
Justin frowned. He didn’t know how to tell her about his work. He couldn’t tell her that he and the guys were spliting soon because babyjen did not know he was in a pop group. Well he lied to her that he was an advertising manager. He doesn’t want to lie but he just want to be a normal guy even it was just on the net.
“There are some problem. Well, how are you?” He asked.
A few minutes later, he received the message.
“Good but college life is pretty tiring. Oh I’ve to go now, I am meeting with my lecturer. Relax and I know you can solve your problem. Bye.”
“So I’m sure there will be lots of record labels trying to sign you. Well don’t worry, we will choose the best one.” Veronica said and turned around and noticed that Justin had been very quiet for the whole morning.
“Are you listening to me?” Veronica stomped her foot.
Justin turned back and said, “Yes sweetie.”
Veronica stood up and walked over to him. She bent down and switch off the computer.
Justin looked at her and yelled, “HEY!”
Veronica kissed him, “I’m trying to talk to you about your solo career. You can do whatever you want later.”
Justin sighed but he nodded his head. He stretched his hand and turned on the radio.
Veronica stared at him, “Didn’t I say you can do anything you want after we have discuss.” She said and tried to switch it off.
But Justin stopped her, “I'll talk to you later.”
“Good morning! This is DJ Sally. Our next request comes from Amber. She is dedicating the next song, God must have spent s little more time You to her sweetheart, Jim. She wants to wish him a happy birthday.
SO here is God must have spent a little more time on you.”
Justin listened the song and smiled. That was one of his favorite songs. He lay down on his bed and started thinking about the time he spent with the four guys. He enjoyed every moment with them.
He started wondering whether he made the right choice.
“Do I really want to go for solo career?” he asked himself.
He sighed, all he knew that Veronica was always right. “Nsync will be never be together forever. Justin, you need to think about yourself.” She said to him.
