Crying On The Inside Chapter 20

JC turned around to face his new enemy. He was hoping that he was hearing things and didn't hear him say something about his girl.

"What did you say?" JC asked him.
"Why don't you ask her," Justin said gesturing towards Michelle. JC looked at her with furious eyes. She looked at him and sighed. She didn't want to do this. Not like this in front of everyone.
"What the hell is he talking about?" JC asked her. She still didn't say anything. Everyone was quiet and waited for her to answer. She didn't know what to say.
"Answer me!" JC yelled at her. She jumped, startled at his yelling.
"Can we talk about this somewhere else?" she asked him quietly. She walked out of the circle, away from everyone's eyes and walked to her car. JC got in on the other side.
"You wanna tell me what's going on?" JC asked her more calmly. She didn't even know where to start. That she was seeing Justin privately or that she wanted to break up with him. She hadn't planned on telling him either one but it had to be said. She decided to let him down easy.
"Maybe we need to take a break from each other," she said starting off.
"What do you mean a break?" he asked her.
"We stop seeing each other for a while," she blurted out. She felt bad but this had to be done. She wasn't happy anymore.
"So you're breaking up with me? I thought you loved me," his voice said more softly. She immediatly felt guilty and was about to change her mind. But this time she wasn't going to let him manipulate her.
"JC I do love you, I'm just not happy anymore," she told him. She saw his eyes go from pitiful to angry.
"You're not happy! What do you mean?" he yelled.
"JC please don't yell at me," she said softly. He got out the car. There were people still outside and so was Joey, Brianna and Heather. She got out of the car to ask him to get back in but he started to yell at her.

"Do you know how many girls would love to date me and here you are trying to break up with me. With ME! Are you out of your mind?" he asked her. He stepped up to her. "You are easily replacable Michelle believe me. I can get any girl in this school I want. I made you who you are. Without me no one would even know who you are," he continued to yell for everyone to hear. Michelle couldn't believe he was embarrassing her like this. Tears came to her eyes.
"Go ahead and cry cuz you know it's true. It's over as of now. Let's see how many friends you have without me," he yelled some more. He got up closer to her and whispered to her," No one will even talk to you after this." He walked away and got in his car and left. Michelle turned toward Heather and Brianna. They looked at her in disgust and walked away from her.
They left her alone.

Justin heard the whole conversation. He didn't think it was wise to approach her after what happened. He looked at her all alone. He knew she was crying. He started to walk over to her. She needed someone right now. But she got in her car angrily and shut the door. He felt bad about saying what he said and putting her on the spot. He hitched a ride home with Diana.

"I think you just broke the rules of high school politics," she said to him smiling.
"What do you mean?" he asked her.
"Their little circle was perfect and here you come and break it up. I don't think you have any idea of what you just started," she told him. He didn't think about that at all. Things would be different for Michelle most of all. He had no idea if it would be for better or for worse.
