Jocelyn walked down the hall, not wanting to talk to anyone, she walked to
her room. She looked over at the stack of letters piled on her desk, everyone wanted to be like her, or they felt bad for her because of her past, she was sick of it, sick of it all. All she wanted to do now, would be to crash and burn. She picked up a letter from the stack.
Dear Jocelyn,
I really don't get what people see in you, i mean all i can say is
that you seem like a stuck up bitch to me, and i would rather have you dead
then see your ugly face on my tv, hear your horrible voice on the radio, god
who did you sleep with to get this job?
Signed.
Hater one
Tears fell from Jocelyn's eyes as she read the note. She reached over to the phone and then hung it up, "Its no use" she thought to herself. She thought of all the reasons she had been hurt for so long.
She's taking her time making up the reasons to justify all the hurt inside
Guess she knows from the smiles and the look in their eyes Everyone's got a theory about the bitter one
She looked over at all the other letters no doubt saying they were so
sorry that she had a rough childhood. Jocelyn thought of her dad, who hadn't tried to talk to her since she was 5, she saw a tear escape from her eyes and fall to the suitcase on the bed. She wanted to get away from it all. All she needed was to find someone.
They're saying
Mama never loved her much
And daddy never keeps in touch
That's why she shies away from human affection
But somewhere in a private place
She packs her bags for outer space
And now she's waiting for the right kind of pilot
She walked out of the room with tears escaping from her eyes.
To come (and she'll say to him)
She's saying
I would fly you to the moon and back
If you'll be if you'll be my baby
Got a ticket for a world where we belong
So would you be my baby
As she walked down the hall she tried to remember a time, just one time
where she felt needed.
She couldn't think of a time at all, she knew thats proabably why she
wanted to leave.
Her friends were all gone, she always thought that the color red was for
love, she had never found it, maybe colorblinded? she thought.
She can't remember a time
When she felt needed
If love was red then she was colour-blind
All her friends they've been tried for treason
And crimes that were never defined
She accidently bumped into a young man. He had blonde spiked hair and
the most beautiful Emerald eyes. Lance looked at the young girl, he recognized her, Jocelyn Smith, she had been in the top 10 films. she was absolutely gorgeous. 5'7 about 115 pounds, long straight brown hair with blond highlights, blue eyes, quite tan. Long legs, nice smile, she was beautiful.
"Will you come with me?" she asked.
Lance looked over at her, and took her hand, "Lets go pack" he said with a warm smile.
A tear rolled down her cheek, "I'm Jocelyn"
"Lance" He said and the two walked down the hall, listening to the end of
the song that had changed both of there lives.
She's saying
Love is like a barren place
And reaching out for human faith is
Is like a journey I just don't have a map for
So baby gonna take a dive and push the shift to overdrive
Send a signal that she's hanging all her hopes on the stars
(What a pleasant dream) just saying
(CHORUS x2)
Mamma never loved her much
And daddy never keeps in touch
That's why she shies away from human affection
But somewhere in a private place
She packs her bags for outer space
And now she's waiting for the right kind of pilot
To come (and she'll say to him)
