"Doctor what's wrong with my wife?" JC asked as the doctor walked out of Jess' hospital room.
"Mr. Chasez, I'm not going to lie to you. It's not good. We are running tests to see what caused the miscarriage. She has also lost a lot of blood we need you and your son to be tested to see if you are a match."
JC was in shock; "She miscarried?"
The doctor just looked at him; "I take it you had no idea that she was 6 months pregnant."
"Oh no, what have I done?" JC leaned up against the wall with his eyes closed. "What is her blood type?" he asked with out thinking twice about if he was a match that he would have to give blood with involved needles.
The doctor looked at Jess' charts, "O negative."
"How soon can I be tested?" The doctor was surprised to hear JC say that so quickly.
"Well now. Nurse! Take Mr. Chasez to the lab; also take his son with you to be tested. I want those results immediately."
The nurse led Joshy and JC down the hall. "Doctor can Jess have visitors?" Justin asked, just walking over.
"Yes but she may still be a little out of it." The doctor went back to filling out the charts as Justin walked into Jess' room.
"Hey sunshine, how are you doing?" Justin walked over to her. "Sleeping like a baby." Justin said as he pushed Jess' blonde hair away from her face.
"My baby! It's not supposed to be this way! No it's not fair." Jess yelled.
"Jess what are you talking about?"
Jess started crying "My baby" was all she could mutter.
"Jess I've called your doctor, she'll be here soon." Justin said as he wiped the tears off of her face.
"Honey I am here now." JC said as he walked in. "JC what's wrong with her?"
"Justin go ask the doctor, I don't know if she knows yet." JC sat down on the bed, and ran his fingers through his wife's long blonde hair.
"Jessie, it'll be alright." He bent down to kiss her.
"My baby is dead." Jess finally said realizing she miscarried, she began to cry even more.
"JC, she was pregnant?" " Justin asked.
"According to the doctor she was 6 months. They are waiting for the results to see what caused the miscarriage."
"Oh God JC. She didn't tell you?"
"Justin, no. I had no idea that she was pregnant. I just wish I could take back what I said earlier today. Jessie, it'll be all right. I'm here with you. We'll get through this."
"I'm going to see what's taking those doctors so long." Justin left the room.
"JC, I'm sorry. I killed our baby. I never wanted this to happen."
JC wrapped his arms around her, "Jess you didn't kill our baby. It just wasn't meant to be. That's all."
Jess buried her face in JC's chest crying.
'If only I would have listened to my doctor, I wouldn't be here now.' She thought.
"Honey lay down and get some sleep. We need you all strong again. Josh needs you, so do I."
Jess laid back down, and closed her eyes still crying. JC got up and walked out of the room as soon as Jess fell asleep.
"Doctor any news to why she miscarried and the blood results?"
"Mr. Chasez, I have both. First the blood, I'm sorry but neither of you are matches. And since it's a rare type we aren't able to find any. Hopefully she'll be okay without the blood transplant. The other results are too much stress."
"Doctor, can, can she die?"
The doctor looked down and then back at JC. "I'm afraid if her body can not make the blood needed, and she falls asleep, she may not wake back up."
"NO!" JC yelled as he ran into Jess' room.
"Jessie wake up! Please wake up!" he cried out shaking her lifeless body.
"NO! Jessie don't leave me! God please don't take her away from me! Nurse! Doctor! Somebody! Jessie wake up! I love you."
