Erika squealed as she threw the last dart across the room. She collected all her teddy bears in her hands and leaned forward to kiss her boy friend of 4 months. She laughed as she saw the look on his face.
�Hey! I�m good at these things! Don�t worry, you can win one for me over there.� She pointed toward a booth about 5 feet away and giggled. �Ooh! Win me that one!� she nodded toward a blue teddy bear.
Erika and Justin had been together for about 4 months. They were inseparable and were always out together just like today when she chose for him to take her to the county fair. Since he was in town for about another 2 months, they had enough time to have fun.
He threw the last baseball at the bottles almost glued together and finally knocked them over. Erika leaned in again and kissed Justin lightly on the lips. The man inside the booth smiled at the couple and handed Erika her new blue teddy bear.

After Erika and Justin cleaned out all the booths full of bears and toys they drove home to the apartment Justin and his friend JC shared. Erika smiled at the audience in front of her staring at her arms full of bears and bunnies.
�I know, I know, too many toys, I won most of them. Justin won this.� She held up her teddy bear and turned to the 4 guys in front of her. �Here.� She tossed a red bear at Joey. �It�ll match your hair.�
He laughed and stuck out his tongue at Erika. �So what else did you do?� he fiddled with the bears bows and feet while Erika answered.
�Nothing really, just had so much fun! You guys should come next time.�

Erika and Justin went digging through the bags full of bears as JC stared at how happy they were. About 1 month ago, he had developed a crush on Erika. He knew he was probably invisible to her so his only words to her were hi when she came over to see Justin of course. He wished it were him on her arm and not his young friend.
She turned around and looked at JC. He looked into her eyes and saw how beautiful they were. She threw him a bear and winked. He knew it was a friendly thing but thought of it as a sign. He smiled at her.

The ringing phone interrupted JC�s thoughts. He quickly got up to answer it. �Hello?�
�Hey, J!� a cheerful voice said on the other line. �It�s Erika!�
he smiled. �Hey Erika.� Before he could finish the sentence, someone grabbed the phone from be hind him. He opened his mouth to say something but closed when he noticed who it was. He sat back down on his chair and listened to the little conversation between Justin and Erika.
When they both hung up, the phone rang again about 5 minutes later.

He knew once again it was Erika so he didn�t bother to answer. The front door slammed so he guesses Justin had gone to pick up Erika. He answered the phone in a squeaky voice.
The voice on the other line giggled. �Hey JC, sorry to bother you again but I have to tell Justin something. Is he there?�
�N-no, he left to pick you up.� His voice sounded low and faint so he spoke up louder. �He should be there in about 15 minutes.�
�Oh.� Erika sighed loudly. �I had to, well, not go with him today. I�m busy. I got a call from work. I hate that, I have to work. Damn. Oh well.�
JC heard a click and then he hung up the phone.

He knew where Erika worked and decided he should tell her. He got into his car and sped off toward her work. he parked the car in front of the building and stared awkwardly into the tall glass windows in front.
He got out of the car about 10 minutes later and looked around for Erika. He saw her office and knocked on the door lightly. She saw him and nodded for him t come in.
�What can I do for you sir?� he asked smiling.
�I, uh, need to tell you something.�
�OK, talk away.� She shuffled through some of the papers on her desk and looked at him.
�This is kind of hard to say, but, I have, feelings.� He stopped. �Strong feelings for you.�

Erika looked up at him and got up slowly. �You, do?�
�Yeah, I do, I know you have a very good and strong relationship with, Justin.� He looked down at his feet. �But I had to tell you.�
Erika finished getting ready and heard the doorbell ring. She hurried down stairs to answer it and opened the door slowly. �Hi, again.�
�Yeah, hi.� He smiled at her as he stepped into her house. �So you ready to go?�
�Yeah, just let me get my jacket.�
He escorted her to his car and helped her in. they drove to a restaurant for a elegant dinner.
When he dropped her off at her house, she walked up to her room. She changed into her pajamas and stepped into bed. As she was about to turn off the light, her eyes met a small toy in the corner. Even if she was now with JC, she would always the little blue bear Justin won for her.
