In the studio
"Good Morning. We are glad to have NSYNC in our show this morning." Melissa, the host of the popular TV show in New York smiled.
"Hi guys, we are NSYNC." The guys greeted.
"Tell us, what are you guys up to lately?"
"Well, we are recording our new single right at the moment."
"We know that you guys always recorded your album in Orlando but why here this time?"
"We just wanted a new environment."
"Cool! I am sure your fans over here will be really excited. Tell us more about this song."
"Well� this song is call �My girl�. It basically talk about how this girl and her guy who had to face many problems to be together in the end." JC said.
"Wow. Sounds like this is gonna be a sad song."
"Yea."
"Did you guys wrote the song?"
"Well, me and Chris wrote the music and Lance wrote the lyrics." JC answered.
"Yup. This is my first time writing the lyrics all by myself." Lance smiled.
"How do you come up with idea, Lance?"
"It based on real life."
"Ok, this question is for Lance. We know that you have been dating someone for the past one and a half years. But why did you keep in as a secret for such a long time?"
"It�s due to some personal reason. Her mum does not really like her dating a celebrity like me. So we have been trying our best to make her change her opinion of me. It�s not very easy but we are trying our best. I want to prove to her that I am serious about the relationship..."
-Back in the apartment-
"Sweetie. I�m back." Lance walked towards Jocelyn and hugged.
"Hey! I watched the show."
"How did I fare?"
"Great. I hope mum watched it."
"Yea. I want her to know I am serious about the relationship with her daughter."
"Lance�" Jocelyn cried.
"What�s happen? Are you sick?"
"Nope! I miss my mum."
"I am sorry sweetie. It�s all my fault."
"No Lance. Don�t blame yourself. It�s not your fault. It�s mine� it�s mine."
"Nope! It is not your fault, it�s not my fault and it�s not your mum fault. I am sure your mum will understand us one day."
"I wish that day will arrive soon."
"Me too." Lance nodded his head.
2 weeks later
Ring Ring
Lance cellular phone rang and he picked up the call, "Hello."
Lance stood up, "What happen?" he asked. The rest of the guys looked at him in puzzled.
"Hope nothing happens to Jocelyn." Justin prayed hard.
"Okay, don�t be scared, sweetie. I will be there in 30 minutes time." Lance assured and put down his phone.
"What happen?" JC asked.
"Nancy is in the hospital."
"What happen to her?" Justin asked.
"She met with an accident."
"WHAT? Is that serious?" Joey stood up and looked at Lance.
"I�m not sure. I need to go the hospital now."
"Go Lance. Don�t worry about us." Chris said.
"Yea. Remember to call us." Justin said.
Lance nodded his head and rushed to the car park.
"You have to be okay." Lance thought.
-In the hospital-
"Sweetie, how�s your mum." Lance ran towards Jocelyn and hugged her.
"I don�t know� I really don�t know." Jocelyn cried.
"She still� still in the operation room."
"Calm down. She will be fine." Lance hugged her.
"Tell me. What happened to her?" Lance asked.
"I� I went home to see her. I rang the doorbell but no one answered." Jocelyn took out a tissue and wept away her tears.
"I waited for her for the whole afternoon and then I saw her� and�.." Jocelyn broke down into tears again.
"Okay. Take your time to say, sweetie." Lance placed his arm around Jocelyn�s shoulder.
"She saw me and I can sensed that she was very happy to see me. She ran towards me and out of a sudden I saw a car driving towards her. I wanted to save her but I can�t�. I can�t." Jocelyn cried.
The door opened.
Lance and Jocelyn stood up.
"How is my mum." Jocelyn asked.
The doctor shook his head.
"MUM." Jocelyn screamed and ran into the room. Lance followed her.
"Mum. I am Joyce." Jocelyn tried to control her tears.
"Joyce." Nancy forced a smile.
"Mum, you will be fine." Jocelyn said.
"Joyce, do u hate mum." Nancy asked.
"Nope! I�m sorry." Jocelyn cried.
"Lance, you are here too." Nancy looked at Lance and smiled.
"Yes I am." Lance replied and put his hand on top of Nancy�s hand.
"Promise me, Lance," Nancy said, "Take care of my daughter when I am gone."
"Mum. You will be fine." Jocelyn said.
"Promise me, Lance."
"I will. I will take good care of her forever." Lance promised.
"Thank you. I watched the show and I am touch by the things you said. You are definitely different from her dad." Nancy said. She looked and Jocelyn and Lance.
"Be happy." She smiled and then closed her eyes.
"Mum. Mum." Jocelyn tried to wake her up. She turned around and looked at Lance.
"My mum is gone." Jocelyn hugged him and cried.
