| Information about the group | ||||||||
| The group was put up in 1995. Chris Kirkpatrick was the one who thought of the idea of putting up a band. Chris talked to Justin about his idea (he knew him before) and Justin agreed and told JC Chasez, who he knew, about their idea. JC knew Joey Fatone through some of his friends, so when he met him, he asked him to be in the boy-band the three were planning to estublish. Joey agreed too. The four band members thought they need another person in the group. Justin called someone he knew from Memphis, who told him about Lance Bass, who later joined the group. The four members of the group became friends with the 5th member to join them and they started to record songs together. The first song they recorded was "Star Spangled Banner", the national anthem of the USA. The next thing the group needed was a name. Justin's mother saw the guys were "in sync" in their dancing and singing and she suggested this name. The five band members liked the name but they weren't sure that's the name for them. Justin's mother tried to think about the name again and noticed that the last letter of every member's name together is NSYNC - JustiN, ChriS, JoeY, LansteN and JC. That was the name they decided on! The group signed on a contract with the managers- Lou Pearlman and Johnny Wright. Their first album propelled to gold status and the rest is ancient history and *Nsync is now a very successful boy-band (as you all know). |
