| Chapter 5 � 11:49pm December 18th, 2000 Crystal and Lance pulled back into the driveway and shut the car off. Lance walked around and opened Crystal�s door to take her hand and walk up the few steps to the house. He took her hand and they giggled as they walked up the stairs to their room. They walked by Justin�s room where he was clutching teddy bear. Next they walked by JC�s room; he was reading a book. Next Chrissy�s room. Chris and Chrissy were curled up together under their comforter. Chrissy�s head on his shoulder and Chris�s arm across her waist almost guarding her from all evil. They reached Crystal�s room next. Lance stopped before leaving and gave Crystal a hug. He looked at her and realized something. He began to put his head closer to hers and before she could think their lips pressed together. �I had a great time tonight,� Crystal said looking in his soft emerald green eyes. �Thank you for not hurting me.� �Goodnight,� Lance said kissing Crystal again. �See you in the morning.� Crystal opened her door and walked in. �I think they�re home,� Chris said kissing Chrissy�s noes. �I hope they had a good time.� �I bet they did,� Chrissy said, snuggling closer to Chris�s body. �Now, how about we get some sleep?� �Can I watch you sleep,� Chris asked watching Chrissy yawn. �I love you so much.� �Good night, Hun,� Chrissy said. �I love you billions.� Crystal stepped out for the shower and closed the shower curtain behind her. She carefully dressed and walked back into her bedroom smiling. She heard a knock at the door and opened it to see Justin with tears in his eyes. �Crystal,� Justin said falling into her arms. �Can we talk?� �Yeah bud,� Crystal said. �What�s wrong, Jay?� Justin sat down on Crystal�s bed and pulled her down next to him. She sat there knowing what might happen and fearing it. �I love you,� Justin said. �Please pick me, be with me. I know that I have hurt you and I know that I don�t deserve anything, but I�m begging you, Crystal please choose me. I can�t stand to see you and Lance together or know that he may have kissed the lips that I should be kissing. Please Crystal, Please.... Choose me.� Crystal smiled a little not knowing exactly what to do. �Can we talk about this later, it�s really late, Justin.� �Yeah,� Justin said standing up. �Good night, angel.� Justin walked out leaving the room and he went to his room and slid back under the covers. Church would come too soon in the morning. Chapter 6 � 10:02am December 19th, 2000 �Please be seated,� The Minister said. �Today we will be covering the story of Jesus� birth.� Crystal was sitting with Chrissy on the side of the church. Lance, Joey, and JC were sitting together next to us in a different section. Chris and Justin were sitting across from us in a different section. We had always split up. Crystal looked up as the Minister asked everybody to sing the song and stand up if we were able. Crystal stood next to Chrissy. As the organist hit the first few notes, Crystal saw the light coming in from the old stained glass windows. She saw Lance look over at her and smile. She looked more carefully at the window. At the peak there was a bible that was lying open, she could almost imagine Lance�s face. �Thank you and be seated,� the minister continued. �Crystal,� Chrissy asked jabbing her in the side causing her to drop her program. �You okay, you look like you just saw a ghost.� �I�m... I�m fine,� Crystal muttered. Hours had seemed to pass before we were standing again. Crystal looked up as the sunshined through the window on Lance�s face. �Just like an angel,� Crystal said to herself. �It�s him.� �What,� Chrissy whispered. �What are you talking about now?� �Lance,� Crystal said. �It�s my soul mate.� Lance looked up and saw Crystal as she smiled and started reading the words of the hymn. The sun was shinning on her face. She looked like an angel. Church ended and Crystal followed Chrissy over to Chris and Justin. �Did you think about it Crystal,� Justin asked taking her aside. �I�d like to know right now.� �Crystal, say...� Lance thought �...No,� Crystal said �...No,� Lance said. They looked over at the same time and said it together. It must have been that they were soul mates brought together by the grace of the Lord and because they were truly in love. Chrissy was in the arms of her soul mate, as they called each other. �Ya know,� Chris said. �We met just like them.� �Yeah,� Chrissy said. �One of the very best days of my life.� Chris looked in her eyes and the whole world disappeared as he brought his lips to hers and kissed her. �I have never loved anything or anybody more in my life,� Chrissy and Chris said at the same time. �I love you...� |
