| Chapter 3-The end (Joey�s POV) 5 months later� I sat with Haley on the couch while Chrissy was at work. She had started a new job at the hospital, finally putting all those years of collage to use and finally liking her work. I was set to go on tour starting tomorrow, and was enjoying my last day home with Haley and my 2-month-old son Cameron. �Daddy?� Haley asked suddenly, pointing to a man on the screen. �Is he going to hurt me again?� I looked at the TV and saw Mike�s face. It was a picture taken of him walking out of court three months ago when Chrissy, Haley and I won the court battle to get him in jail, where he belonged. �No baby,� I said, holding her tight against me as rain started to fall outside. �I promise, I won�t let him hurt you anymore.� |
