George Woolston is first listed as a photographer in Newcastle in 1884. He ran a studio in Hunter St that initially produced cartes de visite and later, cabinet photos. He managed Central Studios from 1900-02. In 1904 George is listed living at 399 Melville St, Newcastle but no as a photographer. He worked in partnership with Barrett in Morgan St from 1912-14 and appears to have left photography after that. George died in Wallsend in 1937.
