TEMPORARY PROSTHESES
With Prosthetists in NSW now manufacturing interim prostheses for lower limb amputees, the need for Physiotherapists involved in treatment of these clients to make plaster temporary prostheses is reduced.
NSWPAR had devoted much time developing resources and training material for manufacturing temporary prostheses, as well as a recent amount of work in trying to achieve compliance with TGA regulations concerning prostheses as medical devices. Much of that material is archived here.
