ARTICLE IX � RATIFICATION

Section 1.0 Approval
1.1 This Constitution will be ratified upon receiving two-thirds majority of all votes cast in an election before the Student Body by the SGA in accordance with the Northwestern State University Election Code and after being signed by the University President.
1.2 Upon ratification, all parts of amendments of Spring 2000 shall take effect immediately after approved by the Student Body.
1.3 Upon ratification of this Constitution, any changes or amendments must be approved by two-thirds of the entire membership, after which the amendments or changes must be approved in a Student Body election by a simple majority of all votes cast. The changes or amendments must then be signed by the President of the University.
1.4 Upon ratification of this Constitution, all by-laws may be amended with a favorable vote of two-thirds of the entire Student Senate, except for ARTICLE IV- Media Board; ARTICLE II, Section 3.0 Scholarships, and Section 4.0 Student Association Fees of the SGA By-laws.
1.4.1 All Student Association Fee approvals or renewals require an approval of a simple majority of all votes cast in an election of the entire Student Body.
