Article IV
ARTICLE IV �THE JUDICIAL BRANCH

Section 1.0 Organization and Make Up
1.1 The official court of the SGA shall be the Supreme Court.
1.2 It shall have jurisdiction over any committee or governing body mentioned herein.
1.3 The Supreme Court will consist of seven full-time students, in good standing with the University, who are appointed by the SGA President, with approval of two-thirds of the entire Senate.
1.4 The seven Justices shall elect the Supreme Court Chief Justice from among themselves.

Section 2.0 Terms of Office
2.1 The term of each Justice shall last from the time that he or she takes the oath of office, until he or she graduates, is no longer a member of the SGA, resigns, or is officially removed from office.
2.2 The term of the Chief Justice shall last one year.
Section 3.0 Duties
3.1 The duties of the Supreme Court are as follows:
3.1.1 To hear any cases involving the Constitution or controversies dealing with students. 3.1.2 To hear all appeals involving Senate decisions, appointments, or any business dealingsprovided herein
3.1.3 To interpret the constitution of any chartered campus organization if a question arises.
