Membership in Psi Chi is an earned honor which is for life. A permanent record of your membership is preserved at the Psi Chi National Office and may be used for reference purposes such as applications for graduate school and jobs. Psi Chi requires it's members to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and to join to have had at least 15 hours of psychology courses and that your major or minor study is in psychology. Membership in Psi Chi not only recognizes your scholastic achievement but also your interest in psychology. Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of (APA) American Psychological Association & (APS) American Psychological Society.
Founded in September 1929, Psi Chi has grown to be one of the largest honor societies in the United States with over 940 chapters. The NSU chapter of Psi Chi was founded on January 08, 1969.
