Here are the brains of my whole audio system, the Alpine head unit and digital signal processor. Although I don't ever use the 'special effects' that the DSP offers, (i.e. Hall, Stadium, etc.) it does a wonderful job of controlling the subwoofer and as an equalizer.

What is mounted here is just the faceplate or remote unit to the DSP. The actual unit is a box that resides behind the passenger storage bin(you have to remove the storage bins to get to it).

Both units feature dual illumination so they match the instrument lighting perfectly. This is especially helpful since the DSP can get really bright.

If the head unit and DSP are the brains of my system, this A/D/S/ amplifier is the brawn. The A/D/S/ was about the biggest, baddest amp I could find.

Spacewise it worked out better to have one monster amp with built-in crossovers instead of several smaller amps and separate crossovers. The A/D/S/ works very well for me and is rated at 60W per channel minimum and closer to 100W continuous.

When I bought the Alpine CD Shuttle it was the fastest available with 3 second changes between any of its six discs. I can change CD magazines easily by just unlatching the partition and reaching over it.

Here you can see the Monster cable that was used to hook it all up. The speaker cable is a modest 16-ga.

Here's another shot of the amp and changer assembly. As you can see, it does cut into the available 'trunk' space.

The back of the CD changer was carpeted to help blend in with the amplifiers carpeted 'garage.'

Amazingly enough, the design does not impede spare tire access . . .much.

I think it's a gorgeous amp although these pictures don't do it much justice. I never got around to weighing it before installing, but I'm sure it's helping to improve traction. :)

Not a whole lot to see here. The only significance of this shot is the presence of the speaker grille(and the speaker behind it) which replaces the cheesy, read useless, storage pockets that came stock on Touring models.
