
Membership
A) Club dues shall be fifty dollars per year if paid in "lump sum" or twenty-five dollars in March and twenty-five dollars by May, if you join during the year, it is prorates at five dollars per month through December.
B) At the start of the year, ALL dues must be current to keep points from previous years. If not, contestant will start over with zero points.
C) Western Attire -- Boots with heel, shirt with at least 4 inch cap sleeve, button down, collar, shirt tucked in, belt. Long sleeves and cowboy hat are optional.
Board Membership
A) Board meeting first Monday after first club show.
B) If board member misses three unexcused meetings in a row, they will be dismissed.
C) Three-3 year board members; three-2 year board members; four-1 year board members.
Arena and Event Directors
A) An Arena Director shall be appointed annually. He/she shall be responsible for supervising activities within the arena to insure activities proceed in a timely, orderly and safe manner. The Arena Director shall be responsible for "setting up" events, e.g., setting barrels, poles, getting cattle ready to rope, insuring contestants are ready to compete, etc. The Arena Director shall be granted authority to make decisions concerning reruns, disqualifications, resolving disputes, contestants grievances, etc.
B) Event Directors shall be appointed for each event during Club Shows. These directors shall assist the Arena Director in insuring each competitor has a "fair run". Event Directors will be the competitor's representative; therefore, competitors's grievances should be presented to the appropriate Event Director. The Event Director will present the grievance to the Arena Director.
Sign Up
A) The books will open one hour before the start of a Club Show. When the first contestant in a specific age group has run, the Books for that age group will be closed for that event.
B) Contestants are required to be ready to enter the arena when they are called. Three calls will be given to each contestant. If they do not respond to the third call, they will be disqualified for the event for which they have been called.
Age Groups
A) Events will be broken into age groups for Club Shows and Club Jackpots as follows:
All events except team roping and ribbon roping: 0-3, 4-6, 7-10, 11-14, 15-18, 19-39, 40 and Over.
Ribbon Roping: 0-14, 15-39, 40 and Over; Team Roping: 0-14, 15-18, 19-39, 40 and Over.
B) For Club Shows, a person's age group will be determined by his/her age as of January 1 of the current year. A person may not change age groups that year.
Awards
A) Points will be given for participation in Club Shows. Points will be awarded for the top six places in each age group and event. Also, one point will be awarded for entering the event. The point scale is as follows:
1st place - 6 points + 1 point for participation
2nd place - 5 points + 1 point for participation
3rd place - 4 points + 1 point for participation
4th place - 3 points + 1 point for participation
5th place - 2 points + 1 point for participation
6th place - 1 point + 1 point for participation
All others - 1 point for participation
B) Trophies will be awarded to the top three contestants in each age group and event. Contestants may elect to receive money equal to the cost of the trophy instead of a trophy.
C) The club presents awards to contestants at certain levels reached with the contestants number of points. The award levels are as follows:
100 points - buckle
200 points - breast collar
500 points - jacket
850 points - choice of buckle, duster, or horse blanket
1200 points - saddle
Points for these awards are carried over from one year to the next, e.g., a person earns 30 points one year, 30 points the next year and 40 points the third year. At that time they will have accumulated 100 points and will receive their 100 point award. At this point, they will only need another 100 points to receive their 200 point award. Point awards will end with the 1200 point award.
D) The club also presents year end awards to the top six point earners in each age group for each event; awards to the high point male and female in each age group and awards to high point header and heeler in the 4 age groups. Only the points earned in the current year are considered for these awards. For each event, a contestant must compete in a minimum of 5 club shows to be eligible for year end awards. Heading and heeling points do not count in the all around awards by age group.
Club Shows
A) Shows will be held on the first Saturday night of each month from March through November. Starting time for the show will be March, April, May and June at 3:00 PM; July, August and September at 6:00 PM; October and November at 3:00 PM. A general membership meeting and awards banquet will be held in December of each year.
B) Entry fees for the club show are: barrels, poles, stakes, goat tail tying, goat tying and speed race - $3.00. Ribbon roping (each contestant), breakaway roping, tie down roping and team roping - $5.00.
C) Exhibition rides at club shows will be allowed at a fee of $3.00 & $5.00 if the rider has signed up and paid the fee before the books close for that event. Run must be on a different horse.
D) Contestants who have help in arena will be placed lower in points than those without help.
E) If a club show is rained out, it will be moved to the following week-end.
