| January 14th of 1994 was just another typical day in the life of a twelve year old; practicing soccer in the suburban streets after homework with friends. The air was crisp with a slight chill as the sun had still yet to set in the western sky. I had been practicing a game of soccer with my younger brother and a mutual friend of ours when I noticed something out of the ordinary: a silver, spherical shaped object hovring in the skies. At first I had dismissed it as yet another airliner heading our way, thus its apparent stillness. But after a minute or so I noticed it had not moved at all. This is when I pointed the object out to my brother and our friend. We stood perplexed, discussing what it could be. All ready having an interest in the paranormal, we wondered between us if this could possibly be a UFO. That's when the sighting took a breathtaking turn. The still object began to move to the right at a rapid speed, then to the left without even stopping. It repeated this motion two or three times until it again stopped and hovered. We knew then this was no airplane. Excited, we called to our neighbor who was watering her lawn. Apparently she thought we were just saying hello, as she wound up her hose and went back in to her house. We, however, stayed outside to witness this aerial wonder. For another thirty seconds or so it stayed still, until it again began its rapid right to left, left to right movements. At this point, we noticed two smaller, spherical objects approaching the "silver sphere" from the left and the right. I ran in to get my camera and when I returned, my brother and our friend informed me that the two smaller objects simply disappeared and the silver sphere zoomed off at an incredible speed. After contacting reknowned UFOlogist Preston Dennett, I learned that UFO's were sighted in adjacent towns between the day of our sighting and the Northridge earthquake of January 17th, 1994. |
