VISION
North Shore Independent Forestry Association Inc. will be recognized, through participation in the SFL, as a leader in harvest, regeneration and maintenance of the Northshore Forest, in participation with Northshore Forest Inc. and the Ministry of Natural Resources. |
MISSION
North Shore Independent Forestry Association Inc. will represent the common interests and concerns of the membership to ensure the current and future social and economic viability of it's members. |
MANDATE
North Shore Independent Forestry Association Inc.’s mandate includes:- Representing the Corporation as a shareholder of Northshore Forest Inc. regarding the Northshore Forest Sustainable Forest Licence.
- Promoting responsible forest harvesting practices ensuring the sustainable use and future of the Northshore Forest as best practice for our membership.
- Encouraging the involvement of independent Licensees in the overall management of the forest.
- Providing support and training opportunities to it’s membership.
- Gathering and exchanging information with respect to varied forest uses.
