Finally Daylight Came

When night crept to me
            prepared a feast I
            served they
            snatched I
            poured they
            drank I
Cleared they...
and willows wept for me
My moon came to me
and bathed me in
            the light
I put my head under
to breathe better than
            before
When I stepped away
to dry myself dead
            skin flew
like dust from a lampshade
I reached out
and touched the inside of me
I closed my eyes,
looked from my window, inhaled
I saw God's fingers
reaching through the hills
Finally daylight came
