| 2007 SALMON RUN: The dinner ride took place on Saturday, June 23 with departure from J.H. Stewart Ltd. at 11:00 AM. The 2007 Salmon Run dinner was held in Rexton at the Village Cafe at the end of Route 116 East in Rexton. The ride to the Village Cafe took approximately 1 hour. The route paralleled and crossed the Richibutco River. This was a new location for the Salmon Run and was a leisurely scenic drive despite the poor weather. Last year members were disappointed that the ride portion of the run was cancelled so for 2007 the ride returned as the primary focus of the Salmon Run. Junior and Corinne put on unadvertised in-store specials for the members who just couldn't refuse a good deal! The eight members in attendance enjoyed an excellent Atlantic Salmon dinner at a modest cost of $10.75 per plate. The meeting that was scheduled to follow the meal was cancelled due to the lack of members in attendance. After returning to Miramichi riders members made a brief comfort stop at the Highway 11 Tim Ho's after which everyone departed on their own. |
