2006 SALMON RUN:
This year the event was held in New Mills at Richard's cottage. There were approximately 40 members who paid $5 each to eat their fill of Salmon. Richard and Reg and a few other chapter volunteers prepared the meal. Two large salmon were cooked, one on the barbecue and the other was boiled. As always, the comradery was great and everyone totally enjoyed themselves. The salmon was delicious and there was more than enough food to go around. The weather was beautiful and Director John held a brief outdoor meeting dealing with a few items of chapter business. With everyone's safety in mind the executive decided to cancel the group ride to Campbellton's "Restigouche Sam" due to time limitations and the consumption of generous portions of food and beverage.

Regardless of whether it was a 5 minute or 5 hour contribution we appreciate the time everyone gave in support of the project. Special thanks to Richard, Reg, Trudy, LoLo, Garry, Lynn and Suzanne who assisted with the setup, meal preparation and cleanup. Your help was instrumental in making the party a big success. In 2007 the Salmon Run will return to the Miramichi. The ride portion of the Salmon Run will definitely be part of the 2007 agenda. A meal location and ride route has already been selected and details will be announced as soon the 2007 chapter ride and activities have been finalized.
MAIN DIRECTORY
These are some of the photos taken of the group and the meal at the '06 Salmon Run. Hopefully they will give you an idea of the perfect weather and great attendance. Ask any one who was there and they'll be glad to give you all the details.

If any members has additional photos please forward them to the chapter email address and we would be glad to post them here for everyone to see. Thank you.
Another photo taken in front of Richard's cottage showing the Gaspe coast on the horizon.
The salmon dinner after everyone had filled their plate once. There was enough food for members to fill their plates two or three times.
Group photo taken in front of Richard's cottage showing the New Mills fisherman's wharf in the background. What a fantastic view!
