THE CREW:
A hearty welcome to all the new chapter members. We hope you enjoyed our HOGspitality and will come back again next year. We certainly enjoyed having you along for the ride.

At the beginning of this year, Stewart's Harley-Davidson, our sponsor challenged us to sign 100 members. We accepted the challenge and not only met his expectations but clearly exceeded them by setting a new chapter record. Although a few members fell by the wayside and failed to renew their national membership we still managed to finish the year with a very respectable 105 members. Congratulations to all of you that sponsored a new member. We wouldn't have been able to achieve this milestone without such a great effort on your part. Hopefully we will continue to spread the good word about HOG as we go into a new year.

The chapter has already started their membership drive for 2006 at the last monthly meeting. Keep in mind that even if you were a member in 2005 HOG requires that you fill out and sign a new application form each year. This is required for insurance purposes and to keep address and phone numbers current. It only takes a few minutes and allows the chapter to keep accurate up to date records.

If you would like to volunteer to help out on any committee or chapter project, serve on the executive, or simply become a member of the Northshore H.O.G. Chapter consider this an open invitation to attend a monthly meeting and ask to speak with one of the people listed on this page.

If you do not know any people in the Northshore Chapter right now stop into our sponsoring retailer and they will put you in contact with a member. DUES
Chapter memberships expire December 31 of each year. Members are encouraged to renew their chapter membership by January 31 of each new year. If they do so they will receive a discounted rate in addition to a 300 HOG Buck bonus.

To join the chapter make your cheque or money order payable to the "Northshore Chapter" and send it to the address at the bottom of the form. A copy of the "Membership Enrollment And Release" form is available to print from this web site.

If you prefer to renew in person, you can do so at any monthly meeting. Simply give the Treasurer your completed Enrollment and Release Form and your money. Please fill in all the information that is requested, especially your email address if you have one. Sign and date the form and don't forget your H.O.G. Canada membership needs to be current before you can join the chapter. Your chapter membership must be current in order to receive newsletters and email notices or bring a guest to meetings or chapter functions. If you are on the executive your dues are paid by JH Stewart's. Anyone that buys a new Harley from JH Stewart's will receive free a one (1) year National H.O.G. membership valued at $62.00. The Northshore chapter will also waive membership dues for that individual during that same year. That's a total savings of $72.00. By my math, at .95 per litre that's like riding 1000 miles for free. Not bad eh?

JOINING THE CHAPTER:
To become a member of the Northshore Chapter you must first hold a current Full or Associate H.O.G. Canada membership. For more information on H.O.G. membership fees and benefits visit the H.O.G. Canada website.

Northshore Chapter memberships run from January 01 to December 31 each year. Current Northshore Chapter annual membership renewal rates are shown on the "Membership Enrollment and Release" form published on this web site.

MEMBERSHIP CONTACT INFORMATION:
Some members have asked that contact information be made available on the website. This has not been done in the past because it is a strict policy of H.O.G. Canada not to make this type of information readily accessible to the public. However we realize that there would be real communication benefits if we could find a secure method of posting this information. For a limited time, members will be able to access a simulated Membership database for trial purposes. In order to access the file you will need "MicroSoft Access 97" or later software installed on your PC and a key phrase. Contact John L. for more info and be sure to let us know what you think or if you experience any problems.

INFORMATION TABLE:
When volunteers have been available the chapter has set up an information table at the dealership to promote H.O.G. amd inform potential members about the Northshore Chapter. Several volunteers have offered to work a few hours on Saturday morning and we would like to thank them for their help. The chapter has increased membership since setting up the information table. Hopefully we can continue to do this because both the chapter and the general public benefit from the distribution of information. If you know you are going to be at the dealership on a particular morning , whether it be for parts or service, and you have some time to spare we would appreciate you working at the information table. CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP CARDS:
Members who can show proof of a current National HOG and Chapter membership will receive a Chapter Membership card. This card can be used for various chapter and dealer benefits. Members must pick up their card at a regular monthly meeting. Cards will not be mailed or given to any other member for delivery. Cards must be activated by the sponsoring dealer. More details on benefits will be presented at the meetings.

2006 TOP HOG WINNER:
The winner of the 2006 "TOP HOG" contest was announced at the Birthday Party on February 24, 2007. Junior and Corrine from J.H. Stewart Ltd. personally made the presentation of the $1,000.00 prize to lucky Northshore Chapter member Tom Lehnert. Tom bought accessories and chrome for his wife Kim and son Robbie who both own and ride their own Sportster. Kim and Robbie are also active members of the Northshore chapter and enjoy riding their Harleys together as a family affair. Congratulations Tom on winning the "TOP HOG" prize.
