| HOG BUCKS REWARD PROGRAM: The HOG Bucks Program was conceived and implemented to encourage members to become more involved and remain active in the chapter. The program has evolved over the years making changes necessary to the reward structure. Each HOG Buck has a $100.00 value. In reality HOG Bucks do not have any real cash value and can only be redeemed at the annual Chapter Christmas Party Auction. It is each member's responsibility to ensure either the Director or the Activities Director is aware of and has recorded accurately his or her attendance at all meetings and activities as well as their participation in chapter programs throughout the year. Get a copy of the revised H.O.G. Bucks Program Guidelines at the next monthly meeting. The HOG Bucks Program guidelines are as follows: Any active member, either rider or passenger... - who chairs a chapter activity earns 5 HOG Bucks. - who co-chairs a chapter activity earns 4 HOG Bucks. - who works at a chapter activity earns 3 HOG Bucks. - who attends a chapter activity earns 2 HOG Bucks. - who renews their chapter membership before 01/31 earns 3 HOG Bucks. | "RIDDLE RIDE" CONTEST: The Riddle Ride is off to a great start! There are twenty one members registered in the contest so far. Of course we would like to see more chapter members registered in this unique, fun and challenging contest but we'll take what we can get. Feedback from the participants indicates that most everyone has solved at least the first three riddles. A couple of members are working on their sixth riddle. For anyone who has not registered yet there will be copies of Riddle #1 at the meeting this month. If you register during the meeting you will receive a few extra hints offered to get you started. There is still plenty of time to catch up with the leaders. Registration is only $5.00 per person and all the money collected will go to the winner. Two up riding partners will share the prize equally and all participants will receive 100 HOG Bucks just for registering. All the check points are located throughout Restigouche, Northumberland, Kent and Westmoreland counties and in most cases well known to members. Each check point was chosen because they have supported the Northshore Chapter in the past. It would be very much appreciated if you took the time to stop and relax at each checkpoint and in some small way support their business. You will find that a round trip to any one of these destinations is an easy day ride. In some cases you will be able to solve a riddle while you enjoy a coffee or a meal and be able to ride to one, perhaps even two more check points in the same day. The deadline for registering in the contest is the August meeting. The Riddle Ride ends at the October meeting. If the prize is not claimed by October then everyone who registered and paid their $5.00 fee will have their name put in a hat and a winner will be drawn. Remember, if you don't register or you forget to pay your registration fee you will not be eligible for the draw. What have you got to loose? Nothing! What have you got to gain? Everything! So why not sign up and have some fun. |
