HOT RODS 'N HARLEYS:
This Show 'n Shine event will take place on July 14 at the Woodsmen Museum in Boistown. There will be lots of antiques, classics, customs, muscle cars and hot rods displayed throughout the museum grounds. The Northshore Chapter has been invited to add a slightly different flair to the event by entering our bikes in the competetion. Although this is the 7th year for the car show it is the first time the show will include Harleys. Sounds like a great way for any gearhead biker or hot rodder to spend the day!
Registration will be held between 8:00-9:00 AM. The registration fee is only $5.00 per vehicle and each participant will receive an engraved plaque. All vehicles will be categorized and judged by a panel of professional judges. Trophies will be awarded for 1st & 2nd place in Best of Class, Best Shine, Peoples Choice, Participants Choice and Director's Choice among others. The show opens to the general public at 10 AM with a modest admission charge for spectators. The museum will be providing an all day barbecue and live musical entertainment from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. The Show 'n Shine is expected to finish at 4:00 PM.
The Northshore Chapter's regular meeting, normally scheduled for July 15th has been rescheduled to Saturday, July 14 to coincide with the event. The chapter meeting will be held on site at the Woodsmen Museum in the Banquet Room at 2:00 PM. Hopefully this will encourage more members to attend. There are still a few details being finalized so check back later for an update. Motels and campgrounds are limited so you may want to reserve early if you plan to go Friday night.
