Not sure if Pierrette is receiving her Mileage Program gift certificate or if she is helping John read his agenda?
Director John presenting new "Etch-a-Sketch" pads to Dan, Marie, Denise & Charles or maybe it's Certificates of Appreciation for their hard work on the Pork BBQ.
This is the third time I fixed this decoration! I wonder why the *%$#? thing won't hang straight?
Is Lee missing his Lazy Boy chair and big screen TV or just tired of Director John rambling on and on.
Oh, No! Director John has lost something again. Hopefully it wasn't his mind!
2005 CHRISTMAS PARTY:
The Christmas party was held on Dec. 10 at Kiefer's Restaurant and Bar in Eel River Crossing. Kiefer's was formerly owned and operated by Gerald M. who is a long time member and supporter of the Northshore Chapter. On Dec. 1, 2005 another Northshore Chapter member, Richard S., took over ownership of the establishment and changed the name to Kiefer's. At the Nov. meeting Richard generously offered the Chapter to continue holding meetings and social events at Kiefer's. The chapter accepted his generous offer.

As most of you know, Big Dan had arranged the Christmas party to be held at Chez Marie's in Petit Rocher which is a more central location for everyone. Dan had negotiated a fantastic price with the owner. The deal was done and it appeared as though everything was coming together very nicely. The attendance was pre-confirmed, the meal was decided on, dinner and bar prices were fixed and members were proceeding to make travel and accommodation plans. Suddenly, the week before the party the caterer's chef took a serious heart attack and had to be hospitalized leaving the chapter without a Christmas dinner. What to do? With very little time remaining Big Dan and the rest of the Executive scrambled to make alternate arrangements. Fortunately for the chapter, Richard S. had an opening on Kiefer's reservation book for the same date and time and was willing to provide a similar meal at the same price as Big Dan had negotiated with Chez Marie's. The decision to relocate the party was a "No Brainer" so Voila, the party was moved to Eel River Crossing.

There were approximately 65 members and guests in attendance at the party which made for one of the largest socials the chapter has ever held. Everyone gathered for a Meet 'n Greet at 6 PM. Happy hour prices were in effect until 8 PM at which time dinner was served. The meal was a combination plate of turkey and ham with all the veggies, trimmings and dessert. The portions were healthy, even by Big Dan's standards, and the meal was delicious!

The annual HOG Buck auction followed the meal and once again was a tremendous success. Director John was the auctioneer and hardly had a voice left by the end of the evening. There were many great prizes, the majority of which were genuine H-D products provided by chapter sponsor J.H. Stewart's. Top dollars were fetched for each item by the auctioneer. Everyone had a great time, even those who had only enough HOG Bucks to make an opening bid. After the auction there was a dance with live music provided by Kiefer's. The proceeds from a 50/50 draw were donated to Kiefer's to help cover the cost of the band. By 11 PM anyone that was driving home had left. The locals and anyone with overnight accommodations partied on until well after midnight. Overall the 2006 Northshore Chapter Christmas Party was a huge success. Thank you to all the members who were able to attend and we hope you had a lot of fun.
Director John has been known to use any excuse to get a hug but really John, not while you're presenting Jean Pierre with his Mileage Program Certificate.
