Nova Scotia International Tattoo

 

  Every year, the Cadet Display Team performs in the Nova Scotia International Tattoo and 2001 was no exception. In 2001, cadets performed in 7 scenes in the Tattoo:
  • Preshow

42 cadets dressed up in Historical Costumes circa 1749 and performed as drummers, sailors and soldiers keeping order in the fledgling city of Halifax.

  • Opening

1 cadet, dressed in an historical Naval uniform (circa WWII), with bugle and drum, opened the show.

  • Fantasy Scene

66 Cadets dressed up in variety of costumes including Nymphs, Dream Catchers, Jugglers, Torch Bearers, Gnomes, and Standard Bearers.

  • Ladder Scene

48 cadets in a colourfull naval uniform performed a ladder drill sequence to the music of the "Popcorn" song. 

  • Historical Re-enactment

24 cadets dressed in historical military costumes representing various Victoria Cross recipients performed a brief vignette.

  • Naval Display

22 cadets, dressed in Naval Costume, along with the Marlant Naval Display Team and the Marlant Band  performed a Naval "Capstan" display, 

  • Finale

72 cadets performed in the finale, forming 2 guards, a 3 member Honour Guard, and a contingent of 14 Canadian, Provincial and Territorial Flags on the Set.
