Captain
Blair Hawco is a former cadet of No. 29 Sydney Kiwanis RCACS. As a
cadet, he took the Aircrew Survival Course, Ground Search and
Survival Course and Senior Leaders Course. After Graduating at
the rank of WO1, he enrolled in the CIC and filled the positions
of Supply and Training Officers with 29 Squadron before moving
to Halifax. After transferring to 250 Vimy Squadron, he filled
the positions of Training Officer, Commanding Officer, Special
Projects Officer and Deputy Commanding Officer. Captain Hawco has
been employed at CLACSTC and GACSTC both
as a Staff Cadet and CIC officer, filling various positions including
Aircrew Survival Instructor, Flight Commander, Standards Officer
and Assistant Training Officer. In 1995, Captain Hawco
participated in the International Exchange program as an Escort
Officer to Australia. Captain Hawco is in his third term as Commanding Officer of 250 Vimy Squadron.
Capt. Hawco has been involved with the Nova Scotia International Tattoo since 1991. In September 1998, Captain Hawco was presented with a Certificate of Achievement by Rear Admiral D. E. Miller for outstanding planning, preparation and presentation of the Nova Scotia Tri-service Cadet Display Team in the 1998 Nova Scotia International Tattoo. |
