WE ARE 1 FIRE, WE ARE 1 TEAM, WE ARE NSBE.
We are a team of kids that come together on Saterdays and we race rc cars. All the kids in the program love what we do.
NSBE stands for National Society for Black Engineers.
We take our work really seriously.
We are working on getting sponsers and making shirts and things for our team.
There are 5 schools that have small NSBE teams that come together 2 Saturdays out of the month. Every Monday after school my school's team comes together and practices racing and things like that. The schools that come together are MS.4, MS.12,PS.17,PS.27,and my school PS.28
We use Ten80 rc (remote controled) cars.
Our symbol is a torch. The torch stands for 1 Fire. We say 1 fire because we are all a team of one. All of our brains come together to make our team even better.
I am the Co-Captain of my team, I'm a photographer, I work on all public relations and I deal with all of our money for events.
Everybody on the team has a job.
The teachers/mentors DO NOT help us that much. They usually just explain what we have to do with us and let us do it. They do this so that all kids get a chance to participate in all the activities that we do.
