Indoor Environment research theme is wide and includes varied concerns related to finding ways for enhancing the health and comfort of occupants in indoors.� With health of the occupants in mind, the research projects under this theme may include basic study of the transport mechanism of indoor contaminants or applied studies such as assessment and characterization of indoor contamination problems, and the development of appropriate engineering solutions. ��With �comfort of occupants in mind, the research projects may include basic study on �the factors that affect comfort of occupants, -mainly air temperature and humidity, or applied studies for developing control techniques �for air temperature and humidity in order to achieve a comfortable indoor. Thus, we classify the research projects under our theme into Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) project or Indoor Thermal Environment (ITE) project, depending whether the priority aim of the project is for health or for comfort of occupants. |
