Laura was born and raised in New York (City and State). She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, from Syracuse University.
Laura moved to the Los Angeles area in 2004. She is working as a Civil Engineer for Los Angeles County.
Laura attended her first NSA National Conference in 2006 in Long Beach, CA. She attributes it to a major life change for the better and has set her on a new course regarding her speech. She attended her second conference in Atlanta and third in New Jersey. She very strongly urges anyone who possibly can to go to an NSA conference, as she feels it is an indescribable event and worth every penny and more.
The most valuable benefit Laura feels she has received from speech therapy is a much improved attitude toward her own speech, acceptance, and being open about her stuttering, which has, in turn, reduced a lot of tension.
