Driving Directions

From I-376:
Take the Squirrel Hill Exit # 5.To The Children’s Institute.
Turn left off the exit onto Forward Avenue and stay in the right-hand lane.
Turn left onto Shady Avenue.
Follow Shady Avenue past Northumberland Street.
The entrance is on the right.

From the Pennsylvania Turnpike:
Take Exit #57 toward Pittsburgh. Merge onto I- 376 west to Pittsburgh.
Take Exit #7, Edgewood/Swissvale.
Turn right onto S. Braddock Avenue.
Turn left onto Forbes Avenue.
Turn right onto Shady Avenue.
Follow Shady Avenue past Northumberland Street.
The entrance is on the right.

From the Liberty Bridge:
Take the Boulevard of the Allies to I-376 East.
Take Squirrel Hill Exit #5.
Follow the directions to The Children’s Institute listed above.


From the Airport:
Take PA 60 and I-279 North to Pittsburgh and I- 376 East to Squirrel Hill Exit #5.
Follow the directions to The Children’s Institute listed above.


From I-279 South:
Take I-279 to I-579, the Crosstown Expressway, toward downtown Pittsburgh.
Follow signs to I-376 east and take the Squirrel Hill Exit #5.
Follow the directions to The Children’s Institute listed above.


From Route 8 or 28:
Take the Highland Park Bridge to Washington Boulevard.
Washington Boulevard becomes Fifth Avenue at the intersection of Penn Avenue.
Proceed on Fifth Avenue and turn left onto Shady Avenue.
Follow Shady Avenue across Wilkins Avenue.
The entrance is immediately on the left.

Northumberland and Shady Avenues and the 4th Thursday of every month at Panera Bread Restaurant on Murray Avenuee. Meetings begin at 7:00 pm
