Trainers (TOT) For Enumerators/ Supervisors training

Place: Hotel Eastern Star, Biratnagar
Programme: Training of Trainers on Enumerators/ Supervisors training.
General objective: To make trainers for conducting Enumerators/ Supervisors training in the districts.
Specific Objective:
· To make trainer able to facilitate the Enumerator/ Supervisors training in districts.
· To make trainers able to teach how to use tools in the training.
· To make trainers able to teach how to supervise enumerators by supervisors in data collection.
General Background
In view of conducting the Enumerators/ Supervisors training in the districts; Training of Trainers has been successfully concluded in Biratnagar. Participants from 10 districts of Mechi and Koshi zones who were nominated by District Assessment Committee (DAT) took Training of Trainers on Enumerators/ Supervisors training in Biratnagar.

Physical Arrangement:
Training Workshop was held at Hotel Eastern Star. Physical facility such as space, furniture, water, electricity, OHP was made available. Management for refreshment was good. Participants took part in the training workshop in comfortable physical environment.

Good Points of Training Workshop:
· Training workshop was conducted in participatory method.
· Good management.
· Provided handouts along with presentations.
· Methodology was good.
· Good time management.
· Good facilitation process of facilitators.
· Provision of Entertainment (Participatory)
Points to be improved
· Large number of participants.
· Time period of training workshop was very short.
· Practical session/ fieldwork needed.
· Poor quality of breakfast, unhygienic lunch and unsafe drinking water provided.
· Excess formats and tools.
· Time should be of 6 hours a day.
· Sometime unnecessary discussion happened.
· Do not do office works or meetings during training session.

Remarks on
Facilitators
· Facilitators were able to handle heterogeneous participants well.
· Facilitators were find laborious, hard working, patience, devoted and committed.
· Sometime facilitators got confused themselves.
· Facilitators were confident and of positive attitude.
· Excellent example of team work shown by facilitators during training workshop.
· Number of facilitators was very few.
