Recommendations (Family Health)

 

Family Planning

v     ] Provision of budget for VSC camps be made available before Dashain (DoHS/ FHD).

v     VSC camps should be mobile as well as static (FHD/DHO/DPHO).

v     Follow up for FP services should be carried out at all level (RHDDHO/DPHO)

v     I/NGOs supporting for FP services must be trained on HMIS to avoid double entry (DPHO/DHO/RHD/ I/NGO)

v     IUD camps should be promoted.

v     Buffer stock of contraceptives be increased at regional level (LMD)

v     Protection/ Contraception of <20 age group needs strengthening (DPHO/DHO?RHD)

v     Method mix in spacing method be promoted (DHO/DPHO/RHD)

 

PHC-ORC

v     Re-orientation needed for PHC-ORC committee (DoHS/RHD).

v     One day Logistics/ review meeting of VHW/MCHW needed in a year (DoHS/RHD).

     

Safe Motherhood

v     Need to well record/ report keeping; such as ANC register/ Card. (DHO/DPHO/HI)

v     Well communication and counseling and follow-up should be performed to increase 4 ANC visits. (DHO/DPHO/HI)

v     Operational research needed on Urban DOTS/ TB/HIV (I/NGOs).

v     Programme for Active Case Finding needed

v     Regional review presentation should include the Service coverage of Private sector (Nursing Home/ Private clinic).

v     Lack of furniture in Microscopic centres should be addressed.

v     Number of DOTS Centre and Sub Centre should be increased.

v     Local NGOs/ CBOs should be involved in TB activities in community level.

v     Cases increase during campaign but remains static after campaign; so certain activities should be added.

v     Facility of Skin camp should be available in hospitals.

v     In view of Leprosy elimination campaign, budget should be increased for Leprosy programme. (Siraha/ Jhapa)

 

Recommendations (Malaria)

v     Advocacy campaign about Vector borne diseases needed.

v     Training on Malaria for new lab assistant needed.

v     Process of selection of Spray-man is complicated; which requires to be simple.

v     Strengthening of recording/reporting.

 

Recommendations (Hospital)

v     Rules and Regulation for Hospital Development Committee needed.(Ilam)

v     Functioning bed numbers in hospitals should be approved accordingly. (Ilam, Lahan, Amda)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Training and IEC

v     Target should be in number instead of times

v     Budget for Street drama and cultural programmes- insufficient.

v     IE materials in districts from centre should come in time.

 

v     Post of Training Assistant should not cut down. (Jhapa)

v     Gender training should cover all VDCs.

v     Mental Health training and Neonatal Resuscitation, HIV/AIDS training held in Ilam district with the help of Local Participation will be an example to replicate in other districts. Report should be included and provision of budget recommended. (Ilam)
